When will it be time for the BBC news to take down the 'war on gaza' tab?

The peace fire seems on the whole to be holding and therefore there is limited news from this region so why don't the BBC pull any articles on the middle east into the main site of at least into a middle East section?

There are many conflicts around the world that (Sudan, Somalia etc) that deserve attention yet still the BBC have a whole section up for war ended by a ceasefire? It has been shown there was bias within the BBC which is currently suffering a lot of aspirational damage so surely it could help itself by having equal coverage of conflicts around the world apart from focussing one that involves Israelis and Jews? Anti semitism has been well documented in this country and I think one way to reduce e it is to look at areas where there is an over focus on one particular conflict showing an anti Israel agenda.

The Guardian have stopped their exclusive sub heading so why can't the BBC follow?

Yes I can understand that you select the criteria that you consider particularly relevant to Israel (however historically inaccurate).

The war in Ukraine has definite ramifications for the security of Europe and the UK with a cold war already in place between the UK and Russia. That conflict is important to the UK. However apart from a very good long running thread on MN about the war there is no bespoke section....which is interesting.

The point is that currently in the world there a number of conflicts and each deserves equal footing in an impartial press. Civil wars in Syria, Yemen, Sudan etx. are a footnote compared with the conflict in Gaza which we all have to admit is in a position of ceasefire.

If the peace fire holds for a significant length of time the BBC news to make editorial decisions about when to rem o e the tab or you run the threat of the BBC effectively becoming part of pro Palestinian propaganda with the use of the sub site effectively a campaign. When this happens is a decision for the BBC but even now we should be challenging whether it stays up in perpetuity especially when our prized news service is under so much scrutiny.

But no greater than conflicts such as Sudan. That's the point. In global terms it is not on the same scale as various other conflicts happening right now.

Are you for real? There is no ceasefire in Ukraine, the war is ongoing and it is still a massive threat to Europe, and global stability. Its on a completely different scale so of course there is a separate tag.

Whilst they are still killing Palestinians and the massive settler violence in the occupied West Bank I guess it still remains news worthy.

Of there are deaths in Yemen or Syria as a result of civil war any stories would be put in an appropriate general international section. Any deaths in Gaza are now highlighted through addition to the subsection on Gaza. The BBC are answering concerns of bias in their coverage of the Gaza conflict and there have been senior resignations partially due to this. I think it would be prudent of the BBC to review its Gaza coverage and reflect how m in coverage has been a result of lobbying or a proven 'woke' culture where many BBC staff sympathized with the 'Palestinian cause.

In terms of conflict in the world generally there are and will be more conflicts that claim more lives. I don't think it is justifiable to have a complete sub section of the BBC website focused on one of these. The world is an awful place at most times but we do need to be proportionate in the coverage of conflict.

There should be coverage of events in the middle East in general and Gaza is part of that but these stories as they come like he folded into a general Middle East section.
