Who will be marching against the genocide in Sudan?

Actually a reasonable piece and I am glad the media are moving away from 'no Jews no news' for this. However how many are going to be travelling to London to protest about the horror in this country or does the fact the main antagonists are arab Islamic fundamentalists backed by the UAE mean that we can turn a blind eye?

That makes sense, doesn't it? British citizens do mainly protest in order to influence the British government. Because that's the only thing we can realistically influence.

From what I've read. Middle eastern powers are backing the armies in a bid to get a 'government' sympathetic to them and access to Sudan's resources. This 'civil' war has middle eastern backers exerting a form of colonialism.
TBF Saudi and Egypt are neighbouring countries, so understandably don't want war and caliphatic Islamism on their doorsteps.
Sudanese Arabs are apparently incredibly racist to African Sudanese.
Iran and Russia are involved. Western allies are involved.
There is both genocide by intent, and famine. There are horrific war crimes, millions of displaced people, over a hundred thousand deaths, often brutally up close.

But there is more outrage against an Israeli calling someone a witch (sometimes a badge of honour on the fwr board) on this board. Go figure.

Both sides are Muslim. This war is not about religion so why are you going on about Islamist leaders?

Where have these marches been and who attended? I think there is some embarrassment in the media as there has been a disproportionate focus on the Gaza war and little media attention been given to this horrendous genocide where murder and deliberate murder is rife.

The UN need to start using the same language as they did for the Gaza war and , yes, start genocide court proceedings. The leader is a brute (maybe he could get a job with Hamas).

Both the SAF and RSF have been accused of war crimes and genocide by the UN and the ICC. No one is denying the situation is beyond tragic but as I said, this is a civil war between two equally matched armies. Which leader is a brute?

You are a bit behind, there has already been protests for Sudan in London. I take it from your lack of knowledge about these protests you haven't been but you expect others to do it for you? Be the change you want to see Mids instead of tapping away at your keyboard trying to stir up some hate.

The war in Sudan is absolutely awful. The civilian casualties are beyond imagination and horrendous. When a country is split in two with two equally powerful brutal armies facing each other, civilians perceived to be loyal to one side will suffer unbelievably when the other side gains control. This is not something new. It has been a case throughout history whenever civil wars happen between two armies of equal power. The problem with civil wars is how should the international community intervene. It is a question of sovereignty. How do you choose one side over the other while trying to be seen as impartial. Everyone one wants to stop the violence desperately but how?
