IDF confirms strikes, accusing Hamas of 'blatant violation' of truce

As reported by the BBC:

The Israel Defense Forces has just released a statement, confirming the strikes in southern Gaza. Here it is in full:

Earlier today, terrorists fired an anti-tank missile and gunfire toward IDF troops operating to dismantle terrorist infrastructure in the Rafah area, in southern Gaza, in accordance with the ceasefire agreement.

In response, the IDF has begun striking in the area to eliminate the threat and dismantle tunnel shafts and military structures used for terrorist activity.
These terrorist actions constitute a blatant violation of the ceasefire agreement, and the IDF will respond firmly.

They really need peace keeping force non US , non UK, non EU, to avoid allegations of colonisers, made up from Arab nations to get in and run things before Hamas return Haza to war (which would probably suit them) . Urgently peace keeping forces should be deployed.

This, must be arab.

In other equally worrying breaking news, Israel announces that it will suspend the delivery of aid into Gaza:

"In accordance with the directive of the political echelon, the transfer of humanitarian aid into the Gaza Strip has been halted until further notice, following Hamas’s blatant violation of the agreement," an official says.

Unfortunately, things do seem to be escalating.

The Israeli military has just put out another update on strikes in the Gaza Strip.
Here is the statement in full:

Over the past few hours, in response to the blatant violation of the ceasefire agreement earlier today (Sunday), the IDF struck dozens of Hamas terror targets throughout the Gaza Strip.

The targets struck included, weapons storage facilities, infrastructure used for terrorist activity, firing posts, terrorist cells, and additional terrorist infrastructure sites.

The IDF also struck and dismantled six kilometers of underground terrorist infrastructure, using over 120 munitions. The underground site was used by the terrorist organization to advance attacks against the State of Israel.

The Hamas terrorist organization blatantly violated the ceasefire agreement this morning.

The IDF will continue to respond firmly and will operate to eliminate any threat to the State of Israel.

This must be the biggest threat to the ceasefire yet.

For Gazans I feel very worried for them that the war could resume because Hamas won't stop their aggression towards the IDF.

For Israel I feel relief that at least they have their live hostages out of Gaza.

I hope the ceasefire can somehow hold but it seems way less hopeful now.

Also reported in The Telegraph that in an escalation that threatens to break the fragile ceasefire between the two sides, Hamas terrorists fired RPGs and sniper rounds at Israeli soldiers, military officials alleged.

The IDF said it had struck the southern city of Rafah in response.

An Israeli military official told The Telegraph that Hamas had carried out “multiple attacks against Israeli forces beyond the ‘yellow line.’ The attacks included an RPG shot at a military force, and a sniper fire against a military force.”

A statement from the office of Benjamin Netanyahu.

The statement says Netanyahu has held meetings with his defence minister and security chiefs, in which he instructed them to "act forcefully against terrorist targets in the Gaza Strip".
