Baffles me why anyone would try to conflate the two, but I guess they have to, to reconcile their minds on what their protests and marches have been about - and they weren’t about getting rid of Hamas, who started the war, were they?

Not surprised nobody wants to send ‘peace keeping’ forces in and stuff like this guarantees Hamas remain in power.

Do all the people outraged at Netanyahu collaborating and arming militias against Hamas still feel the same? I think Israel know the lay of the land in Gaza better than Western armchair ‘experts’.

I thought Israel always denied they were restricting aid to Gaza? Remember the mass starvation a few months back when Netanyahu categorically denied they had any involvement in aid blockades..?

So the Israelis have got their people back and are now continuing the genocide. What a predictable outcome.

I was thinking this. Trump wants everyone to see peace between Israel and Palestine as his achievement so he has a vested interest in trying to keep the ceasefire intact.

Nope. They’re as trustworthy as one another and it’s civilians on both sides who are paying the price.

As I said, I don't trust Hamas or the IDF. I don't feel like either of them are q force for good.

It was only a matter of time before Israel invented or over stated something they could use to resume bombing and block aid.

One person can save the truce and that is Trump. Presumably there is going to be a conversation between Washington and Tel Aviv very shortly and that conversation determines what happens next. Trump will not like the embarrassment after his speeches a week earlier so I can see Israel maybe quickly ramping down attacks but that brings immediately into question how to disarm Hamas.

For Gazans I feel very worried for them that the war could resume because Hamas won't stop their aggression towards the IDF.
For Israel I feel relief that at least they have their live hostages out of Gaza.
I hope the ceasefire can somehow hold but it seems way less hopeful now.

Hamas lie all the time, these people are executing Palestinians in the streets like they are nothing whilst claiming they are collaborators. You would believe anything these people say?

I agree with you. Those people might not want to do it either though.

I don't trust Hamas but also don't trust the IDF.

From the link that @Twiglets1 provided it seems there are some questions over the veracity of the attack on the IDF. Hamas are claiming to know nothing about a clash in that area.
