And I hope they are all killed. Poor Palestinian people forced to live under their disgusting rule. Resistance is met with execution. https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/c99g3p52k15o

Hamas-linked social media channels say "three collaborators who were spying for the occupation" were executed.

And yet the more recent headline I provided merely highlights his inconsistency, according to you.

But your links don’t allow for Trump’s inconsistency? Hmm.

Weird.

Hamas will be disarmed I hope. And squashed.

Ah, so I'm right, so let's deflect. That's crystal clear 😂

Do you accept that he told them they could have their weapons at the moment and that he's happy with what they're doing with the gangs?

Because it seems you don't want to answer a simple question.

Alittlefeedbackwouldbenice · 15/10/2025 10:33

Because like the contradictory idiot or not, he's clearly got power. He clearly has given permission for them to be armed at the moment. He's also perfectly fine with what they're doing with those weapons.

It shows that my assertion that he's giving them permission to be armed at the moment and is content with what they're doing is in fact correct. As is Israel arming some of the militias. You asked for evidence for what I said. I provided it.

They have been just defending themselves havent they?

They've been in a war situation so both attacking and defending but the war is over now.

Would like them to be able to withdraw further than where they currently are (the area marked by a yellow line on Trump's peace plan).

Once the ISF is mobilised (international stabilization force composed of U.S., Arab, and European personnel) they will be able to withdraw further to the second line and then eventually to the security buffer zone.

That's what I would like to see ASAP, the ISF controlling security not the IDF.

I expect most of us can agree on that Palestinians desrve to be free from Hamas, but as PPs have said it'll be difficult to achieve when so many still support them

This is the point you'll never see answered from the unbalanced everything's-Israel's-fault contingent - probably because it's not answerable except by accepting that too many have brought this upon themselves

https://www.pcpsr.org/en/node/997

Yes and the other question which is difficult to answer is, that if Gazan's overall didnt or dont support Hamas and want them out, what do they want them replaced with? A tolerant, democratic replacement who want to work with Israel, recognise Israel's right to exist and believe in a 2 state solution. A group who would respect other views, beliefs, religions, promote womens rights and those with disabilities and different sexualities.

That's what I would like to see.

Israel step away from the whole sorry mess and let someone else take over while they just retreat to a defensive position and concentrate on just defending themselves.

Same. I really think they should. Just ensure their security and let all those who spoke out against them deal with Hamas somehow.

Alittlefeedbackwouldbenice · 15/10/2025 10:20

It's Trump. He says whatever he fancies is at any given moment! I'm not sure why you're expecting consistency from him. Yes he said they can rearm to try and gain order. He's also said they must disarm. But he's the idiot who thinks you cure covid by drinking bleach and that power sets more causes autism, so are we really that surprised? However, these sorts of contradictions aren't harmless and they're going to be causing a lot of confusion.

So why are you bothering to quote him then with your links?

He said he gave them approval for a period of time.

Also, that Hamas will be forced to disarm. So the period of time will presumably end soon.

Don't see the two statements as that contradictory.

Hamas are still the in intractable problem.

Their propaganda worked well but they are a problem now for Palestinians.

Maybe Israel should step away and let others work out what to do about Hamas terrorising the place.

You'll be waiting a long time for someone to come up with the names of Palestinian moderates who could run Gaza ...

Marwan Barghouti.
He's topped the polls, unites across factions, is highly educated, has experience of negotiating with Israel. Fluent in Hebrew. Very much a political veteran.

And yes he's convicted of terror offences, which he denies. This was in a court with a 95% conviction rate, amongst allegations of torture, very limited evidence and a level of unfitness that would have the conviction thrown out in an instant in the UK.

soupyspoon · 15/10/2025 10:15

Its a bit of pisser that the person 'we' seem to be relying on, doesnt know his arse from his elbow and says different things at different times.

EasternStandard · 15/10/2025 10:15

Ihatetomatoes · 15/10/2025 09:51

With Hamas still there most wouldn't touch it.

Where are the Palestinian moderates who might run Gaza?

That's why people called for a separate group to monitor/oversee the peace plan. Although many thought that unreasonable. So currently we have Hamas killing Palestinians and apparently we are supposed to believe that all of them are 'collaborators' 🙄

  1. Trump's view on Hamas's and the gangs.
It's on the sky news live updates at 14.25 yesterday. You'll need to watch the embedded video.
    https://news.sky.com/story/gaza-hostages-israel-hamas-war-latest-release-palestinian-prisoners-sky-news-live-13443931

  2. That took some digging. It was something from Al Jazeera's live thread on Monday. Given how far it is down, I'll just paste it

"Trump says Hamas received US approval to rearm
Trump has said the US is aware that Hamas is “rearming” in Gaza and claimed the group had been given US approval to do so “for a period of time”.

Asked by a reporter on board Air Force One before his arrival in Israel about reports that Hamas was “rearming” and instituting itself as a Palestinian police force, Trump said the group was attempting to restore order after months of war.

“They’ve been open about it, and we gave them approval for a period of time,” he said. “You have to understand – they’ve lost probably 60,000 people. That’s a lot of retribution,” he argued.

According to the Health Ministry in Gaza, Israeli attacks have killed more than 67,000 people, including more than 20,000 children.

Trump also said the US wanted to ensure returning residents could rebuild safely, describing Gaza as “literally demolished” and saying “a lot of bad things can happen” as people return.

The timeline for Hamas’s decommissioning of weapons has become one of the main sticking points within the ceasefire deal, with negotiators divided over how and when disarmament should take place."

Here is an article mentioning it.

  1. I'm not giving any links for Israel arming the gangs as this is accepted public knowledge.

I can almost feel the glee in people's voices leaping off the page.

No, of course they shouldn't be rounding up an executing anyone. Let's not pretend that this wasn't anticipated and encouraged.

Trump has specifically said Hamas can keep their weapons for now and try to get order over the gangs. Re the killings, he's 'not too bothered about that', because they killed 'bad people'. He verges on praise for them for it, certainly no criticism.

Meanwhile, the gangs that Hamas is targeting (which again they've got the green light to do from Trump!) are literally funded and is armed by Israel.

Opposing militias are being encouraged, sometimes funded, and Israel sits back and watches the inevitable carnage. Unity is a Palestinian people, even unity within Gaza, is a huge risk for Israel right now because it furthers the likelihood of two-state solution. That's why the one individual who might unite the Palestinians is still stuck in prison, and why Israel tend to blind eye to an even encouraged Hamas in the past.

Unfortunately Hamas and the gangs are playing right into their puppet Masters plan, driven on by hate, rather than looking at a bigger picture, as to why Israel and its closest ally are encouraging both sides.

What an elaborate way to blame Israel.

All of them? The women and children?

The vast majority yes, why would you think differently and why would women be different? Women across the world support terrorist regimes and governments and extremism if thats the culture and political system they believe in

Children are brought up to believe it in and then turn into adults.

Alantraitor · 15/10/2025 09:43

Hoppinggreen · 15/10/2025 09:41

All of them? The women and children?

Why should women be any different?

Children though are presumed innocent until they are old enough to decide for themselves whether to support Hamas or not.

Alantraitor · 15/10/2025 09:41

Sky News says Benjamin Netanyahu has warned "all hell" will break loose if Hamas doesn't agree to disarm.

It comes after Donald Trump warned "if they [Hamas] don't disarm, we will disarm them, and it will happen quickly and perhaps violently".

Hoppinggreen · 15/10/2025 09:41

soupyspoon · 15/10/2025 08:17

Not sure where you’re getting your info about Trump saying Hamas to keep their weapons @alittlefeedbackwouldbenice.

Hamas are not being made to do anything by Isreal or anyone wrt these executions or using children as shields or spending aid money on weapons and tunnels or taking control of aid food and selling it on at vastly inflated prices. They are very capable and are doing all this all the time. Not victims at all.

I hope they are all got rid off. Vile.

I'll get you the links.
