Hamas targeting groups and clans in Gaza

Hamas appears to be preparing to exact vengeance on those opposed to its rule in Gaza. This will come in the form of mafia-like murders of those Hamas claims are “collaborators.” It will target clans and groups that have shown opposition to Hamas. It will also target those that have worked with Israel, or who it accuses of working with Israel.

A Telegram channel linked to Hamas said the group would target “collaborators.”

The BBC reported that “Hamas recalls 7,000 fighters to reassert control over Gaza as fears of renewed internal violence emerge following the withdrawal of Israeli forces. The mobilisation has been widely anticipated as uncertainty grows about who will govern Gaza once the war ends - this is a key sticking point for later phases of Trump's plan.”

Hamas has long used mafia-like gangland tactics to keep people in check in Gaza. This goes back to how the group emerged in the late 1980s and early 1990s. Hamas leaders such as Yahya Sinwar were known for brutally murdering “collaborators” back then. Sinwar is dead but his tactics live on. Hamas has lost a lot of its larger weapons but it retains AK-47s and can use them to murder people. Videos have already emerged of Hamas allegedly murdering people.

The brutality of the organization has also been revealed in a New York Times article that shows how Sinwar and Hamas planned to murder Israelis and burn communities on October 7.

Israel agreed to release these horrible criminals because they care so much about the hostages and wanted them back over anything else.

Meanwhile, hamas care so little for their own people that they offer them up as martyrs in the war, and now in a ceasefire they are actively hunting down and killing them. A tale of 2 different countries, and yet people believe that Israel are the evil ones. Absolutely bizarre.

Agree, yet some posters on MN insisted the Israeli government never cared about the hostages.

No other country in the world would be expected to release these terrorists. The poor victims families. It's like releasing the 9/11 terrorists.

And this is the kind of person that has been released in the prisoner swap:

https://x.com/HamasAtrocities/status/1978364747838877730

"The X post shares a 25-second video of a Palestinian father, recently released from Israeli prison, declaring to a cheering crowd in Gaza that his young son will return to attack Israelis "like on the seventh of October,"

It's actually been doing my head in a bit, there's all these posts showing a prisoner being released with emotional pictures of them being reunited with family, "at last after 20 years", then there's a community note and they blew up a bus full of schoolchildren or stabbed two women to death or something.

Utterly enraging that they were given equivalence to the hostages by some people.

Totally agree

We'll also probably get cries of "colonialism" and "why can't they choose their own leaders", and never mind that there's every chance they'd pick Hamas again

Already happened 😂

Yes, I’ve seen several similar posts today, along with a lot of angry ones demanding Israel shouldn’t exist 🙄

Silly of me, @SpaceRaccoon - I have Twitter blocked so can no longer see the slurrry which gets posted on there, but I might have known Hmm

The Egyptian plan is a fair try at the genre, @SpaceRaccoon, but relies on Hamas ceding power and I very much doubt that'll happen - especially, as said, with so much support within their area

Unfortunately there's a significant number who like killing - preferably Jews, but if they're not available the "wrong type" of fellow Palestinian willl do - and they're not going to appreciate the opportunity being taken from them

SpaceRaccoon · 15/10/2025 16:51

That sounds a bit contradictory, doesn't it?

Okay this sounds like a reasonable plan:

Again, I'm really unsure of how it's going to be implemented given the current situation on the ground, but hopefully someone will have thought of that.

Anything to do with this little posse?

That's nice. They still seem to be talking about the Israeli 'occupation' forces on AL Jazeera.

China hosted leaders of a total of 14 Palestinian factions, including Hamas and Fatah, in Beijing from Sunday to Tuesday, with "broad reconciliation and unity" reached, according to the Chinese Foreign Ministry.

This is the Gaza they wanted.

I think what those thugs want most of all is to get to cross the border and do the same with impunity to Israelis. Or worse probably - shooting is pretty kind compared to what they enjoyed doing to them two years ago.

According to Bowen in the BBC the strip is awash with weapons as munition factories were raided during the conflict. So now we've an element of lawlessness with rival gangs jockeying for position. It's also unclear how trump proposes to use force to get Hamas to disarm if they refuse to. It has been pointed out that the IDF killed more than 67,000 people in two years trying without success.

Or people saying I can’t see the difference between Palestinian prisoners being released & Israel hostages.

Or worse, calling them all hostages regardless of their actual status being hostage, prisoner or detainee.

This drives me mad too.

I wish people wouldn't conflate the 2.

Hopefully some of those that do will have seen some of these examples and question themselves.

Yes, I’ve been seeing quite a lot of it too. Some young woman crying and hugging her released father (or a similar scene) and then the community note… 😕

The latest line is that those people are "Israeli collaborators" who are being armed and paid by israel so it's all fine and justified. These people are in the grip of a mania and have to bring everything back to israel being to blame, not matter what

Well they’ve seen that westerners are easily manipulated by their propaganda! They even thanked the uk government!! A terror group thanked the uk government for being on their side. It’s all insane!

Good grief, poor Palestinians, they have no chance with this lot emerged from tunnels, fully fattened up, neat and tidy and ready to kill anyone who denies them their spoils. Imagine living next door to these. No wonder Egypt wont open the border 🙄

Yet they expect a few million Jews to accept living next door to them. And when they build walls to stop terrorists, or have military presence on the border to prevent another massacre they’re called occupiers. You couldn’t make this shit up.

Can I just say, that it gives me such comfort to read posts from you and others on this thread. People who see through the bullshit we have had to endure through the media these past 2 years. 🙌

Thank you! I’ve been suspended for calling out antisemitism on this forum. I’ve been cursed, threatened, called all the names you can think of. But I know the truth and I know it coming out slowly. The uncomfortable facts are there - all the protests calling for a Palestinian state from the river to the sea.. meaning a state that is free of Jews! If they think they’re fighting for humanity they’re clearly not. All the celebrities with their badges showing Jewish blood demanding a ceasefire are silent now. All the hostages returning to joyous, remarkable families despite knowing their release allowed hundreds of convicted terrorists to go back to Gaza, all the continued bloodshed in Gaza from Hamas, the genocide lie, the famine lie, it’s all coming out and there is silence. The truth is there.

Puzzledandpissedoff · 15/10/2025 11:30

This was my fear - that a ceasefire without the majority of Hamas fighters eradicated would look something like this

Mine too, @SpaceRaccoon, and yet Starmer rewarded those still in charge by recognising it as a state Sad

I have no idea how this can be resolved; any force who tries to remove them militarily will have the exact same issues the IDF did, that they're deeply embedded in the civil fabric of the area

Correct again, but though I wish it was otherwise I honestly don't believe it can be resolved. We've been hearing so much about it recently because Israel decided they'd had enough, but the underlying mindsets have been there for generations and that won't be so easily changed

Urban, guerilla warfare. Cowardly, energe once there's a ceasefire and then kill Palestinians that they deem might be against them. Call them 'collaborators ' so the idiot following in the West ignore the killings. Job done.
