Hamas targeting groups and clans in Gaza

Hamas appears to be preparing to exact vengeance on those opposed to its rule in Gaza. This will come in the form of mafia-like murders of those Hamas claims are “collaborators.” It will target clans and groups that have shown opposition to Hamas. It will also target those that have worked with Israel, or who it accuses of working with Israel.

A Telegram channel linked to Hamas said the group would target “collaborators.”

The BBC reported that “Hamas recalls 7,000 fighters to reassert control over Gaza as fears of renewed internal violence emerge following the withdrawal of Israeli forces. The mobilisation has been widely anticipated as uncertainty grows about who will govern Gaza once the war ends - this is a key sticking point for later phases of Trump's plan.”

Hamas has long used mafia-like gangland tactics to keep people in check in Gaza. This goes back to how the group emerged in the late 1980s and early 1990s. Hamas leaders such as Yahya Sinwar were known for brutally murdering “collaborators” back then. Sinwar is dead but his tactics live on. Hamas has lost a lot of its larger weapons but it retains AK-47s and can use them to murder people. Videos have already emerged of Hamas allegedly murdering people.

The brutality of the organization has also been revealed in a New York Times article that shows how Sinwar and Hamas planned to murder Israelis and burn communities on October 7.

Should we talk about how Hamas have again headquartered themselves in a hospital, and used ambulances to disguise themselves on one of their recent murder spree?

Don't be silly. Of course they don't do bad things like that.

All those people who have been screaming that Israel was bombing out of genicidal intentions, do they see now?

See what exactly? That there are tunnels? I never doubted that there was tunnels. It is widely known and documented. And it seems the tunnels are still there. It’s only the hospitals, schools, sewage systems, water treatment, farmland and homes that have been destroyed.

"Hamas is looking for the bodies of Israeli hostages in Gaza by digging for tunnels that it placed under an entire residential city where there were thousands of apartments. This is under the Qatari-built Hamad City in Khan Younis, southern Gaza. Hamas gave itself the right to use every inch of the Strip as a theater for its horrendous terrorism, placing its operatives and infrastructure under homes, hospitals, schools, and every imaginable space. This isn't just Israeli propaganda - this is the absolute, shitty, unpleasant, and brutal truth that all Gazans know and understand, but is somehow refuted by "activists" and "journalists" who run cover for Hamas.

What you're looking at is the inevitable future of Gaza if Qatar is allowed to dominate the reconstruction process once again: tunnels will go through and under Qatari-sponsored infrastructure that becomes a breeding ground for Hamas's terrorism."

All those people who have been screaming that Israel was bombing out of genicidal intentions, do they see now?
Bear in mind they warned civilians to leave before the bombing campaigns (although that was apparently ethnic cleansing).

Most expert analyses, whichever "side" they support, will tell you that Hamas are not jihadist, not linked with IS or Al Q. So you are misunderstanding things there completely. If you google you will find a lot of info.

Hamas is committed to fighting against Israel's attack on Palestinians and on creating a Palestinian state. What it says and does varies, and there are elements within Hamas which may do or say different things. Hamas is funded by other ME states who support a 2 state solution and together there is goodwill and sufficient awareness of all the issues for the 2 state solution to be negotiated.

It is Israel which remains fiercely opposed, but the hope is that this is something which, with international help, could become a reality.

The press is not great at reporting on all this, but all the info is out there.

You can't seriously believe this?

I've followed him for ages. He's pretty sharply critical of Israel too, so no-one can accuse him of being a "Zionist shill" or whatever.

HORRIFIC: Gazans reported that Hamas executed the two children, Yussef Hassan Abu Ajwa and his brother Zaid Hassan Abu Ajwa, and their mother, Ulfat Jihad Ab Ajwa, because their father, Hassan Ab Ajwa, joined the anti-Hamas militias operating in the Strip.

He says he's a peace advocate and perhaps some other posters here may have heard of him?

I haven’t heard him but he seems authentic and credible from the posts I’ve read on his feed. This pattern would fit with Hamas actions in the past too.

At least we all seem to be in agreement that children should never be targeted in conflict.

It certainly does sound vile.
I don’t know if it’s been confirmed yet, but this is where I read it:

That's vile. Even if their dad did 'collaborate' (whatever that means , seems to be a term used for anyone opposing Hamas) why kill the mother and child.

I’m sorry to do this but Greta is mentally unstable (she has bipolar and is very open about this) and in absolutely no place to attempt to enter a war zone to ‘try to help’. She isn’t right, you can tell by looking at her. I think she’s being exploited actually.

Yes, I find myself rather glad she wasn't able to get anywhere more dangerous.

Ihatetomatoes · 17/10/2025 15:50

inamarina · 17/10/2025 12:21

It’s just all so bizarre, it’s like they’re not even pretending anymore.
I read on X earlier today that Hamas executed two young boys and their mother because their father was allegedly a collaborator.
At the same time there seems to be an attempt going on to ramp up the narrative about Greta being mistreated while in captivity, almost like to distract from Hamas’ actions.

Have you seen it too? One thing they mention is that an Israeli flag was placed next to Greta and every time the flag touched her (or the other way round?) she was kicked? I’ve come that particular one couple of times now 😵‍💫

That's some of the worst fiction I've read for a while. Keeps changing as well.

Exactly the same tactics they’ve been using for years to move weapons and terrorists around Gaza, and get in shooting distance of the IDF.
All with the collaboration of UNWRA

Disguised as medics, one really couldn’t make that up… But they’d never do such a thing, surely!

"Hamas arrived disguised as medics and in ambulances and killed 25 people in the same family "

But, but, but Hamas don't do that......dress as medics, use ambulances to get around 🤔

They are brutal killers, returning to brutal killing now there is a ceasefire between Hamas v Israel. What do they do..... kill Palestinians. Perhaps there needs to be a ceasefire between Palestinians and Hamas killing them. Or doesn't that matter?

Edited

Im sure lots of luvvies are organising a #ceasefirenow campaign as we speak!

Plenty of footage of Hamas asserting control again in Gaza through violence, dressed as civilians.
It’s not pretty.

Hamas are not jihadist?

They hide it well.

Indeed!

Being kind, it might've been an inept attempt to distinguish them from more globally focused jihadism. Those are different and there's a lot of infighting. But jihad isn't like a professional accreditation, you don't have to get yourself certified from the official provider.

Frankly, what's done the real damage is the useful idiots who have done their best to hamstring Israel from dealing properly with Hamas. And now look.

Lmao what a load of shit.

Hamas are jihadist, and there is not an expert consensus that they aren't. Didn't mention links to either IS or Al Qaeda, not that jihad is a closed shop anyway, so not immediately obvious why you felt the need to cite them. They are simply different variants of jihadist.

But even if you want to come up with some No True Scotsmen definition of jihad, Hamas are sufficiently violently irredentist that they function as a barrier to a viable two state solution. Note that this is not the same as saying no other barrier exists. Only that they are essentially a veto all by themselves, at present. Because a viable state requires government that cares more about that state's viability than it does about murdering neighbours, and that is not Hamas. The closest you've got to an explanation for how this will happen is that goodwill from other sides, who aren't even on the ground in Gaza, will somehow magically manifest it. Dunno what you've been googling, but it didn't do you much good.
