I think it more likely Hamas will break ceasefire or refuse to hand over hostages and bodies they kidnapped. They will come up with some excuse they don't remember where bodies are.

If these children were indeed shot by Israeli soldiers then that is a crime committed by these individual soldiers.

You can't have 10% of your country living in illegally occupied land and then say why are they constantly attacking us, most of these attacks happen in Palestine and could quickly be resolved if Israelis would just move back to Israel. We hear about these terrorist attacks on Israelis but it is never actually made clear that the vast majority of these attacks don't actually happen in Israel and could be prevented by Israelis not living illegally on someone else's land.

I'm not saying attacking civillians is ok, it's not OK but neither is 10% of Israelis participating in apartheid and illegal occupation on a daily basis, that is violence too.

No. Children don’t get shot in the head as standard in war.

Medics don’t get targeted and executed with their ambulance being buried as standard.

People being murdered when trying to get water or food isn’t standard either.

Saying the extent of civilian suffering is just the way things go in a war and minimising it won’t suddenly make it okay.

Is it their military aim to go and murder thousands of children, or are they fighting a prescribed terrorist organisation embedded amongst civilians? As pp said, sadly war crimes happen in any war.

My impression is that ceasefire is a relative term here, for lucky people whose country isn't being attacked on a daily basis from various sides it means no bombs, for Israelis it seems to mean fewer bombs, hence the iron dome and bomb shelters and the fact that the Nova festival kids and kibbutzniks didn't immediately realise the danger they were in.

Does Israel generally leave Jordan and Egypt alone and if so could it be due to them not constantly attacking.

Comparing enlisting in the IDF to joining the Hamas (as pp did) is such an example.
I mean, Hamas literally call for the destruction of Israel in their founding charter, that is the kind of enemy IDF are facing, yet some people seem absolutely determined to ignore that.

This was on a thread about the rising atmosphere of antisemitism. The poster has frequently posted about how this has affected her and her children. She said the Rabbis son was thinking of moving to Israel to enlist. Last time I checked it was something honorable to fight for your country. The post made next was this-

"Weren’t you the poster who was SO proud of the fact her Rabbi's son had gone over to fight on behalf of the IDF? Hope the images of the dead children and women he killed haunt him for the rest of his life."

Thats a direct quote of what this poster said about a young man she doesn't know, who hasnt commited any crime, other than considering fighting for his country.
