No other middle eastern government is as scrutinised as Israel and most of them have 'done away' with large numbers of oppositionists without too much opprobrium....for reasons. It is part of the move to delegitimise Israel as a state in the region.
If anyone but Israel kills off hamas, there'll be the same shrugs we see when hamas tortures and executes fellow Palestinians.

Including your comment about 'unfortunately' children being involuntarily killed by the IDF. They have deliberately targeted aid stations and also hospitals.

Literally no one has said on these many threads that Hamas are doing all the killing.

It’s a war so obviously the IDF are killing people too, unfortunately including civilians getting caught up in the fighting.

It was an honest mistake and I apologise. However, if my mistake makes people look up the figures and realise the horror of 20K innocent children being killed because they live in the same country as Hamas, perhaps it will have had a good effect. Some of these pro-Israeli Government posts make it sound as if Hamas are doing all the killing and this is very far from the truth.

A fairly fundamental typo given what you’re claiming - I’d ask for several of your posts to be deleted. I agree wholeheartedly it’s 20,000 children too many but multiplying figures by 10 is a dangerous mistake.

I refer you to the Save The Children Fund report. Are they lying too? Figures vary but the death toll is huge. Israeli propaganda says not, but many Jewish people are horrified and support the Stop The Genocide marches.

Nowhere near 200,000 people have died let alone that number of children. How can anyone take you seriously when you blatantly lie?

The genocide is a terrible thing and the many stock responses that appear on social media threads including Mumsnet, blaming Hamas for everything, I suspect are at least partly coming from Israeli bots. Being scared of Hamas is no justification for killing 200,000 innocent children. And the question of Israelis taking Palestinian land is conveniently ignored.

They are fighting a war. There are casualties of war, and it is tragic. They are not targeting children on some industrial scale and it is not a genocide - no genocide has ever required consideration by the victims over whether or not to agree to end it. Nor has it ever moved civilians into safe zones.

90% of the infrastructure has been demolished. Rounding up Hamas’ own figure, 100k have died - of a population of 2million that is 5%. Those numbers quite clearly do not mean indiscriminate targeting of civilians - if they're really trying to kill everyone you wouldn’t end up with most of the infra destroyed and most of the people alive. They’re trying to eradicate a group of Islamist terrorists.

I’m not saying this makes it all ok - it is a horrific situation. But it isn’t a genocide and you’ve swallowed an awful amount of propaganda.

The danger with peace at the minute is that of Hamas by having weapons can form a Dr facto government by force in the aftermath of the war it will open the question how do you establish a government without Hamas? Who is going to disarm Hamas if the IDF have to withdraw? It was a condition of the peace plan that Hamas basically fuck off but they will do absolutely anything to maintain power as all dictatorships do.

I am sure given Hamas can come out of hiding without fear of the IDF they will be very quick to bring about summary justice to those factions that sought to depose them during the war. It honk it will be brutal justice (murder) as well. Again the press will shy away from these details.

The infighting between Hamas and other factions will be of no interest to the pro Pals on here (or elsewhere) which should - for the more thoughtful amongst them - make them question why not.

Interestimg isn't it. Thr pro-Pals have told us so many times that Hamas is finished, leaders killed, nearly everyone dead. Suggesting that Israel is wrong to continue the war because Hamas is no longer a threat.

And yet the BBC are reporting that Hamas commanders in Gaza are calling up 1000s of fighters to "keep order' as Israel withdraws, internal fighting is kicking off and Hamas is executing collaborators.

It will be interesting to see that even in these very early days of a tentative peace which seems not to be celebrated by pro Palestinian supporters whether terms like ethnic cleansing and genocide will be used in the current tense by those that seem to demonize Israel.

do the 'stop the genocide ' signs go back in the cupboard or will pro pal supporters simply say the genocide and ethnic cleansing started in 1948 so there is still a legitimate reason to continue their anti Semitic causes and marches? I think there is a real fear amongst those that support the Palestinian cause that an end to the war will mean a reduction of the world's attention on this part of the world and the 'just' struggle of the Palestinian people to topple the Zionist regime and reclaim 'their' land.
