I agree with this terminology as it aims up what we are seeing in British streets in a daily basis. All the main political parties and the public at large are now calling it out for what it is. The Home Secretary is now looking at legislative change quite rightly to stop the day in day out propagation and iamplification of anti semitism.

So protesters consider who they are standing beside when they virtue signal of the streets of our cities?

There are videos of it on YouTube! Tousi TV was there and there were chants and scuffles with police by protesters. Very clearly shouting with a megaphone 'Death, death to the IDF!'

Go ahead, but at least do the UK the decency of leaving your face uncovered. It's best people start noting those still supporting these death marches.

Strange how these are normal, kind people, are apoarently desperate to stop a war... yet their chants are all about death to their enemies, not peace or life for all.

I watched the demonstration through live on Saturday.

While mostly peaceful in the sense that the majority of the group were not physically attacking people, the rhetoric and chants, especially in light of the tragic terrorist attack, were bone chilling.

Despite telling the police they were dispersing, the protesters carried on chanting in a proxession through the streets, dragging a large speaker.

'Death, death to the IDF'

'Globalise the intifada'

'From the river to the sea'

The crowd appeared to be a mix of very angry Asian men leading the chants, students who lacked the personaliy to have an active Saturday social life, and a few smiling but generally clueless Tim/Timothina 'nice but dims', smiling tolerantly as they joined in the death chants.

I don’t want to live in a country where my rights to peaceful protest is taken away from me. Happy for the police to deal with the non peaceful protesters and any hate speak. Mostly the marchers are peaceful. I live in London and have seen them many times.

I think the politics follows the mood of the country and politicians of all stripes have finally realised what these marches are about. The constant permissive environment of Jew hate can I my lead to more of the scenes we saw I. manchester. The Jewish community have been calling for an end to these marches for months and it takes a tragedy for people to finally listen. I don't think those that support bans are racist but simply peace living citizens that aren't naieve to the nature and intent of the interminable marching and sloganeering.

the sacred right to assemble and protest is being abused and our elected officials should react to public concern.

It’s problematic if the mood of the country is to silently accept the genocide happening in front of our eyes. We should all be out marching against it.

Such legislation on cumulative impact would also presumably curtail faragist types who have regular protests against immigration , asylum seeker hotels etc I think Labour's instincts here are about calming not stoking community tension.
