Gaza Flotilla - genuine peace activists or Hamas puppets?

It has been reported that these activists have rejected the Italian government and the Vatican's proposal to unload any aid they are carrying in Cyprus, to be transferred peacefully to Gaza.

They seem intent on sailing into a legal blockade in a warzone as a direct provocation to Israel who will be forced to take control of 50 boats and the people on them.

They have made lots of unproven allegations that Israel has attacked their boats which may well be to precursor violent resistance in 'self defence'.

They could be carrying anything, including weapons.

There is quite compelling evidence of Hamas/Muslim Brotherhood connections to this so called humanitarian flotilla, which could be considered perverse in the extreme seeing as Hamas has caused the humanitarian crisis in Gaza.

Hundreds of Israeli boat owners are being encouraged to counter protest in Navy approved zones (without interfering) as a presence 'a blue and white wall for the hostages'.

What do we think the outcome of this will be with Italian and Spanish Navy vessels in the mix?

This is quite a different situation than the ONE boat in the earlier failed attempt to breach the blockade this year where the 'activists' were peacefully appeased with sandwiches and sent on their way (after refusing to watch footage of Oct 7th).

A campaign of so-called “peaceful solidarity” reveals disturbing ties to designated terrorist organizations.

Gaza Flotilla - genuine peace activists or Hamas puppets?

It wasnt against her will. It was exactly what she wanted!

Yeah, sure Sharon. Just like Hamas want Israel to kill 20000 children and want Israel to starve 2 million people. Israel are just being helpful and doing what others want and getting slated for it. They can't win can they, poor kindhearted Israel.

deckchairmayhem · 28/09/2025 20:40

The arguments has moved on from this, now there's a full scale genocide taking place.

Thegreyhound · 28/09/2025 19:30

Why should she? Why should she watch something on the orders of the Israeli govt/ the IDF?
If the film is so important why is it that it is only being shown to selected people at selected times under watchful eyes?

Are you serious with this question?

Perhaps to preserve the dignity of the victims?
Perhaps because the victims families haven't given permission?
Perhaps because Israel doesn't wish to weaponize the suffering of her own?
Perhaps because of people like you making snidey remarks about it?
Gosh, I don't know, could be so many reasons couldn't it?

You could always find the Hamas footage online though, cleverly bypass those 'watchful eyes' 🙄

Israel didn't want her there but took her out of International waters against her will and brought her there. Sounds legit. Poor Israel, they had no choice, forced to break the law left right and centre 😭

First Hamas force them to kill 20000 children, then they are forced to starve 2 million people now we are told they were forced by Greta no less to take her out of International waters and bring her to Israel where awful Greta wouldn't even watch their compilation tape to thank them for doing her bidding.

It wasnt against her will. It was exactly what she wanted!

quantumbutterfly · 28/09/2025 20:30

Poor Greta, apparently she was kidnapped by Israel.
At least she was released unharmed and fed. Now she's coming back, maybe it's Stockholm syndrome, how apt.

SharonEllis · 28/09/2025 19:59

Umm. She chose to get on that boat. Israel sure as hell didn't want her there.

She chose to get involved in a war yet is only interested in the suffering on one side.

I don't think that a prerequisite of a 'great person' is to do whatever the people who hauled you off your boat and brought you to a foreign country against your will want you to do. She didn't ask to be Israel. She didn't want to be in Israel. She owed them nothing.

Well I think a 'great person' might have honoured the victims of that atrocity by bearing witness to it.

That sounds a bit like you dismiss it as manufactured propaganda, yes?

Thegreyhound · 28/09/2025 19:31

Beachtastic · 28/09/2025 17:22

Don't you think someone who has made it her personal mission to vilify Israel should have at least mild curiosity about understanding how war was visited upon them, and what kind of war?

Or do you think she would dismiss it as Hasbara? Do you?

I think a woman of Greta’s intelligence is more than capable of making up her own mind and sourcing information for herself

Why should she have?

To give her an understanding of why there is a legal blockade of Gaza for a start!

Maybe she isn't aware?

She could have seen what the Palestinians who managed to breach the blockade on land enjoyed and celebrated doing, up close and personal, when they had the opportunity to attack Israel without Israel having the protection of the Iron Dome.

Do you think the people on the flotilla, especially the women, would be a bit wary of entering Gaza if they saw the atrocities that were carried out not only by Hamas but other terrorist factions and by civilians too on Oct 7th, and the reaction of Palestinian civilians to them?

It wasn't only Jewish people or Israeli civilians who were slaughtered.

Why do they think they would have some sort of immunity from the type of savagery some Palestinians are clearly capable of?

Hamas torture and murder their own civilians too, not only Israelis and Jewish people.

I don't think the IDF should have to waste precious time dealing with a hundreds of delusional idiots in party boats trying to enter a warzone, or risk their lives saving them from the dangerous consequences of their actions.

Greta IS great. She is a fantastic young woman. Snarking about her just shows up and diminishes the person doing the snarking, it doesn’t stop her from being great.

Agree @Twiglets1

Also a bit concerned that Greta the Great has shown such contempt for Israel (e.g. refusing to watch the film) that it would not surprise me in the least if her ludicrous plan involved more than just delivering a few biscuits.

She and her futilla cannot be treated as harmless, and Hamas can exploit the resulting distractions. They will certainly be looking to maximise propaganda potential from the whole exercise.

Maybe the biggest risk to them all is each other. So many personality disorders trapped together on small boats, hard to imagine how life must be on board...

I agree it must be punishing being trapped on a boat for weeks with each other... nothing to talk about but all the people you hate ... adding each other to the list as the days go on and on ... must be tough.

Has she been in touch recently to advise how's it is going?

Was she on one of the boats that had a bomb or flare land on it (depending on who's descriptions are believed)?

Thanks

As of yesterday she said they are still 400 miles odd from Gaza. Yes there was some sort of non lethal drone attack. It dropped some foul smelling gunk. Personally I don't think it matters how they relate to what's left of Hamas , as they won't be allowed to drop the aid off anyway.

Remember all of the people the Israeli state executed while waiting at food stations. The flotilla is legally and legitimately challenging the blockage and the genocide perpetuated against the Palestinian people.

100% this

What reason did Greta give for refusing to watch the October 7th video?

Edited

To my knowledge (please someone correct me if they know otherwise) Greta has never spoken about why she and the others refused to watch the video.

An article by Brendan O' Neill dated June 25 has this to say about it:

If these people want to see real war crimes, they could do worse than watch Hamas’s own footage of the racist terror it inflicted on the innocents of Israel. And yet, according to Katz, they turned a ‘blind eye’ to those war crimes. They looked away from the screen. His allegations are being widely reported in Israel and beyond.

Self-styled warriors for human rights refusing to watch one of the bloodiest assaults on human rights of the 21st century so far? Implacable anti-racists turning away from the worst act of anti-Jewish racism since the Nazis? If this is true, then it surely speaks to a profound moral blindness among the activist class, where they will sympathise with suffering humans everywhere except in Israel.

We await comment from Greta and the rest about whether they ‘refused’ to watch – and if so, why. To my mind, if this shunning of truth did occur, then it is of a piece with the left’s agonised and sometimes outright shameful attitude towards 7 October.

Greta and Co would only have been doing physically what the ‘pro-Palestine’ set has been doing morally for nearly two years: refusing to grapple with the enormity of what Hamas did to the Jews on that darkest day.

The activist set has a truly tortured relationship with 7 October. Some deny it, in a gross rehash of Holocaust denialism. It’s exaggerated, they cry. Women weren’t raped, they claim. Others say it was ‘resistance’. ‘This didn’t start on 7 October’, they snivellingly say, as if Hamas’s fascistic actions, its slaughter of Jewish women and burning alive of Jewish families, were an ‘understandable’ response to Israeli policy. The last people who thought a pogrom was a legitimate response to political grievance were the Nazis.

Happy to post her whole interview. She is a delight..

Oh dear, there's stupid and then there's a whole new level of stupid. That's the sort of vile response that flooded the MN forum after 7/10. It's hard to imagine anyone so awful, but they do exist.

I suppose she thinks Hamas are sexy freedom fighters.

I doubt Hamas will do anything bad to Greta and her crew. Quite the contrary, they have them all by the nose-ring. Some kind of whistle-stop tour perhaps, with everything carefully arranged and a warm welcome from their best diplomats?

The threat to the futilla's safety is not directly from Hamas, I don't think, but possibly from Hamas ensuring they put them in harm's way by using them as a shield for covert operations, just as they have with aid convoys, children, hospitals, etc. They will relish putting Israel in this impossible situation. Whether Greta et al are actively colluding or as naive as someone agreeing to carry a stranger's suitcase from an airport in Colombia, we'll probably never know.
