Gaza Flotilla - genuine peace activists or Hamas puppets?

It has been reported that these activists have rejected the Italian government and the Vatican's proposal to unload any aid they are carrying in Cyprus, to be transferred peacefully to Gaza.

They seem intent on sailing into a legal blockade in a warzone as a direct provocation to Israel who will be forced to take control of 50 boats and the people on them.

They have made lots of unproven allegations that Israel has attacked their boats which may well be to precursor violent resistance in 'self defence'.

They could be carrying anything, including weapons.

There is quite compelling evidence of Hamas/Muslim Brotherhood connections to this so called humanitarian flotilla, which could be considered perverse in the extreme seeing as Hamas has caused the humanitarian crisis in Gaza.

Hundreds of Israeli boat owners are being encouraged to counter protest in Navy approved zones (without interfering) as a presence 'a blue and white wall for the hostages'.

What do we think the outcome of this will be with Italian and Spanish Navy vessels in the mix?

This is quite a different situation than the ONE boat in the earlier failed attempt to breach the blockade this year where the 'activists' were peacefully appeased with sandwiches and sent on their way (after refusing to watch footage of Oct 7th).

A campaign of so-called “peaceful solidarity” reveals disturbing ties to designated terrorist organizations.

@dairydebrisperhaps now the state has been ‘recognised’ they should allow them to sail in and leave their safety to Hamas?

Absolutely idiotic.

End their illegal naval blockade?

So you think they should just let anyone through including Greta and friends?

Do you think Greta actually wants to deliver the aid personally into peoples hands?

Trust me the aid would likely not reach Gaza. Very little is getting in and the majority of it is held up at the Gaza border and refused entry. Thousands of aid trucks have been denied or it’s taken so long that the aid is spoiled. This is first hand knowledge I have, as somebody who has projects set up in Gaza. This is of no fault of the charities but the evil regime that controls it. By breaking the siege they are delivering essential items like formula which are scarce and not only that but hope and support which is needed after nearly two years of being caged in hell.

But they won't break the siege which they already know hence the act is performative.

stomachamelon · 29/09/2025 11:38

@soulofmysoulrealistically that’s not going to happen though is it? How would you decide how the very limited formula gets to where it needs to be exactly? And if there is a stampede and people are killed who would be at fault? What happens when it’s all gone and people are desperate? They want to leave?

Aid is getting through and millions are being fed. We know this is true. I agree it’s not the way the UN etc want it done but it’s not just ‘ the evil regime’. I have seen what happens to trucks going through - ones recently hijacked at the Allenby crossing- sept 18th.

Things need to change but this is not the way. Hamas continue to fire rockets, continue to send information about loss of hostages or extracting hostages, they play fast and furious as they have done since they took over. This all could have been so different. And if you have all that experience in Gaza you know what I am saying is right. They destroyed everything left to wage war against Israel.

I'm curious as to what you think Israel should do about the Flutilla? Just let them sail on into Gaza to distribute their symbolic aid? Or something else?

End their illegal naval blockade?

soulofmysoul · 29/09/2025 11:07

Twiglets1 · 29/09/2025 10:11

Agreed.

I'm glad the offer was made by Italy anyway (and offered again yesterday) because at least it shines a light on the fact these Gaza futillas are not about delivering humanitarian aid.

Which was obvious from the first, smaller attempt but some people are naïve enough to think it was just about aid.

@soulofmysoulwhat ideally would you like to happen now? Regarding the flotilla?

Ideally they break the siege and don’t get illegally captured. More than anything to bring that hope and support to the citizen’s who are trapped in an apocalyptic hell. I know first hand their suffering and it is unimaginable that they have lived this for nearly 2 years. My hope and prayers are with all the people on board the flotilla as well as the Palestinians ❤️

Everexpanding · 29/09/2025 10:52

to the posters opposing boycotts or flotillas what do you suggest people who care do to prevent genocide and the forced starvation of a civilian population?
or should this be allowed to become the new norm in warfare because Israel??
Any suggestions welcome

Some credulous, others deceitful.

It's not a peaceful agenda they're pursuing and if they land by Gaza I'm sure what they return with will be as closely scrutinised as what they deliver.

Everexpanding · 29/09/2025 10:17

Should people do nothing and just let Israel carry on is that what you are suggesting ?

A sentence in the UN report regarding Israel's genocide in Gaza.

"Israeli security forces shot at & killed civilians, including children who were holding makeshift white flags. Some children, including toddlers, were shot in the head by snipers."

dairydebris · 29/09/2025 10:15

CrossChecking · 28/09/2025 20:24

Israel didn't want her there but took her out of International waters against her will and brought her there. Sounds legit. Poor Israel, they had no choice, forced to break the law left right and centre 😭

First Hamas force them to kill 20000 children, then they are forced to starve 2 million people now we are told they were forced by Greta no less to take her out of International waters and bring her to Israel where awful Greta wouldn't even watch their compilation tape to thank them for doing her bidding.

Reading this and then the post further up where an 'activist ' denies women were raped on October 7th, but were 'treated well' by Hamas disgust me. How were Shani Louk or Mrs Bibas treated well.

Those performative 'activists' are sick, how dare they deny the crimes of October 7th, they cannot even be bothered to watch details to check their lack if knowledge. They are pathetic. If they were genuine they would allow the aid to be taken and passed on as authorities have suggested.

It’s just their rhetoric often repeated that we want Palestinians to suffer.

Of course we don’t and why would we? It doesn’t help Israel one jot for Palestinians to suffer, only for Hamas to be destroyed.

If the Israeli government does not want Palestinians to suffer why block medical aid ?

To my knowledge (please someone correct me if they know otherwise) Greta has never spoken about why she and the others refused to watch the video.

An article by Brendan O' Neill dated June 25 has this to say about it:

If these people want to see real war crimes, they could do worse than watch Hamas’s own footage of the racist terror it inflicted on the innocents of Israel. And yet, according to Katz, they turned a ‘blind eye’ to those war crimes. They looked away from the screen. His allegations are being widely reported in Israel and beyond.

Self-styled warriors for human rights refusing to watch one of the bloodiest assaults on human rights of the 21st century so far? Implacable anti-racists turning away from the worst act of anti-Jewish racism since the Nazis? If this is true, then it surely speaks to a profound moral blindness among the activist class, where they will sympathise with suffering humans everywhere except in Israel.

We await comment from Greta and the rest about whether they ‘refused’ to watch – and if so, why. To my mind, if this shunning of truth did occur, then it is of a piece with the left’s agonised and sometimes outright shameful attitude towards 7 October.

Greta and Co would only have been doing physically what the ‘pro-Palestine’ set has been doing morally for nearly two years: refusing to grapple with the enormity of what Hamas did to the Jews on that darkest day.

The activist set has a truly tortured relationship with 7 October. Some deny it, in a gross rehash of Holocaust denialism. It’s exaggerated, they cry. Women weren’t raped, they claim. Others say it was ‘resistance’. ‘This didn’t start on 7 October’, they snivellingly say, as if Hamas’s fascistic actions, its slaughter of Jewish women and burning alive of Jewish families, were an ‘understandable’ response to Israeli policy. The last people who thought a pogrom was a legitimate response to political grievance were the Nazis.

They know full well Israel will ensure their safety.

Haha really?? Well then I guess you know nothing about the past flotillas, one in which 10 on board were killed. These people are risking their lives to break the illegal siege and raise awareness and even more than that they bring hope to the people of Gaza who know that attempts are being made and they are not forgotten. By having big names like Greta and Liam Cunningham on board it makes it more difficult for Israel to murder them like last time.

if only everyone realised how savage Hamas are that they would agree that all the Palestinians should suffer in return

That’s an asinine take on what posters have said. Nobody thinks that.

PaxAeterna · 28/09/2025 21:57

The whole wanting to show her the video has North Korean vibes for sure. It’s reflects a minority of people’s opinions in these threads who think that if only everyone realised how savage Hamas are that they would agree that all the Palestinians should suffer in return.

It once again conflates the entire Palestinian population with terrorists.

It’s a very bizarre logic.

i think I’d probably need counselling after watching something that is no doubt horrific but it would never justify what’s happening in Gaza. Both the Hamas massacre and the Israeli response are horrific.

It speaks volumes about Greta and co that they refused to watch it.

If the film is so important why is it that it is only being shown to selected people at selected times under watchful eyes?

That sounds a bit like you dismiss it as manufactured propaganda, yes?

I wouldn’t know, since I haven’t seen it.

Umm. She chose to get on that boat. Israel sure as hell didn't want her there.

Well no, because she was drawing attention to their genocidal actions. Obviously they didn’t want her there.
