Laura Kuensberg PLO representative - insulting to UK

So there was a PLO representative on politics today who essentially ranted about the UK having to feel colonial guilt over Palestine and happy we finally recognised the state. At no point during the interview did the representative suggest the borders for any Palestinian state should be as current but only made references to historic wrongs which many will interpret as the formation of Israel. The guy (it's always a man) really did think that the recognition of a Palestinian state by the UK was an acknowledgment Israel shouldn't be formed.....a Hamas propaganda coup. (Thanks Keir).

At least Laura made a statement that the description of the war in Gaza as genocide by the representative was not the view of the BBC.

I'd imagine if Palestine became a country they would pay their army to 'slay' people just like Israel and every other country that have the right to self determination do. Hopefully they would use their army for defence and not for genocide, illegal occupation and apartheid like Israel do.

It's about time Palestinians were given the same right to self defence as everybody else.

Well they used their government to launch a huge terrorist attack along with numerous 'ordinary people '. Hamas is a brutal terrorist organisation. They still haven't given up the hostages or dead bodies of the ones they killed.

Wouldn't it be lovely if they spent the billions in aid to Palestine to actually improve conditions rather than building tunnels or firing rockets at their neighbour. Taught hatred as children as per Son of Hamas, rewarded to be martyrs, until that changes........

Probably increase it, now they get rewarded for terrorism

Basically a guy stating Britain has admitted its role in setting up Israel was wrong in other words the recognition of the Palestinian state is being interpreted as Israel being removed by those in Plaestinian leadership circles. Such a stupid move by the UK government.....don't people realise Palestianians view a Palestianian state as reaching from the river to the sea.....God knows there have been plenty of chants.

PLO? Not Palestinian authority? I thought they'd rebranded like Windscale.
