Good books about Gaza ?

Hello everyone,

Can anyone recommand some good books about the situation in Gaza ?
Preferably first-hand accounts - that's always more reliable and specific than second-hand testimonies.
Are there even such books ? As people there probably are more worried about survival than literature right now.
I had a look on amazon and found a few but not sure where to start or which to start with, so I'm keen on any recommandations.

Apologies if there was already a thread, I didn't see it if so.

'Cardboard bad'? What a very simplistic comment. It isn't the cardboard that is 'bad' is it supporting a terrorist organisation that is 'illegal'. No matter if a 'little old lady or a vicar' you still cannot break the law. It's the same with all crimes youll find.

No one supports 'shooting babies in the head'. We all agree Oct 7th was horrific but thankfully hamas are slowly but surely getting annihilated so that's good.

Also no mention of the money he'd accumulated along with someone's unwra ID as he fled the warzone to join his family in Turkey and left the shitstorm he instigated for others to face. Yarafat did similar in Lebanon.

”Israel” by Martin Gilbert gives you a lot of background as to why a Jewish state was necessary, and puts to bed a lot of the misconceptions about it being a settler colonialist project.

I would avoid the likes of Pappé. His analysis is flawed.

My son read the book called ‘The eyes of Gaza’ by the journalist Plestia Alaqad, he said it was very moving. I haven’t had a chance to read it myself yet. If you want real life accounts then I suggest watch the interviews of the medics who have been out there, you will find many and their harrowing stories will no doubt leave you in tears. It is horrific what is being allowed to take place.
