I mean where was this roadside bomb, in Israel or Palestine? My bet is it was in Palestine. Why are the IDF policing Palestine? Who gave them power there? The whole thing is just so twisted but yeah Palestinians just need to behave themselves better then their overlords will somehow grow a conscience that has been missing for decades, fuck off back to Israel and leave them to live in peace. That definitely sounds like it would work.

Do you really think Israel need an excuse? They want the West Bank for themselves, how have you not noticed this. They protect settlers as they burn villages, shoot people, steal their homes and livilhoods. You think they should just submit to that?

Palestinian terrorism has been going on since 1948 though, and we're no further along... the portion of land assumed to be part of the official Palestinian state keeps shrinking. What they are doing isnt working if the measure of success is improved quality of life for Palestinians. It is working if tje measure of success is increased hatred for Israel.

I wish they'd try something new.

Also- and perhaps a little off topic, why isn't Hamas sitting down with Fatah in the WB and saying- sorry about 2005 / 6, but its time we came back together to try to get our homeland... you take over Gaza, give us safe passage, we'll all promise no more violence, let's give that a try. Current strategy isnt working.

I can't imagine what it's like living under a power that behaves like this though.
It's a cycle that will continue... Curfews, mass detentions only serve to create resistance movements.
This has been evident throughout history. I don't know if it should be up to the Occupied and oppressed people to take the higher ground.

Here's an idea.

Since Israels reaction is predictably disproportionate, how about Islamic Jihad, Hamas, and any other assorted Palestinian terrorists simply just stop the terrorism?

Then Israel would have no excuse, right?

I think they should try it.

And then the international community would have ( even more ) sympathy with their cause.

I wouldn't like to speculate. Theres a lot of anger, hatred and lies around this conflict and I don't want to add to it but commenting on something I know absolutely nothing about.
