In exactly the same time frame? No is the answer to that! Israel have killed a shockingly high amount of Palestinians in less than two years. And the number will turn out to be far higher because you can't count hidden bodies under rubble. There will also be the "excess deaths" so Palestinians who will die from disease / long term effects of injuries related to Israel's actions.

Also has the UK Government been complicit in whats happened in Nigeria? Have they assisted Boko Haram? Have they publicly defended Boko Haram's right to kill Christians? They've certainly been complicit in the Genocide of the Palestinian people, and thats part of the outcry.

I also do not understand why people believe the Hamas figures which do not distinguish between civilians & Palestinian armed groups.

Even if the number of deaths are roughly accurate, we have no way of knowing how many are Hamas & other militant fighters & how many are civilians.

Yet some are happy to keep repeating what Hamas say and how they say it, as if every Palestinian killed can be assumed to be an innocent civilian.

I’m not denying that many thousands of innocent civilians have been killed of course. But people need to remember that Hamas are embedded in the local population and that is who the IDF are actually trying to kill.

Incorrect. International law does not give a blank cheque for civilian massacres. it requires distinction and proportionality. That’s why the ICJ, UN investigators, and multiple human rights bodies have said Israel may be committing war crimes.

As for aid: trickling in a few trucks after deliberately blocking food, water, and medicine isn’t ‘humanitarian’, it’s siege warfare. Starvation is explicitly banned under international law.

Of course Jewish children matter. All children matter. It is horrendous that any child is murdered but the sheer scale of the atrocities that is happening in Gaza needs to be highlighted. They are being bombed and shot indiscriminately. It is absolutely horrifying and the posters on here who try to excuse it or say what about hamas, what about Oct 7th is shameful. Most people agree that hamas are terrible that what happened on Oct 7th was awful but we have to focus on the thousands of families in Gaza now that are suffering beyond our comprehension.

The IDF live in the community, by your logic a country could legitimately carpet bomb Israel because the IDF have embedded themselves amongst civilians. Could a hospital be bombed because it is treating IDF soldiers, could a housing estate, an apartment block. These soldiers have shot infants in the head, shot them in the genitals, murdered doctors, journalists and then they go back and embed themselves in the community. So Israeli schools, hospitals, houses are all legitimate targets??

‘But Hamas hides among civilians!’ isn’t a legal defence, it’s an excuse. International law still requires Israel to differentiate between combatants and civilians. When 70% of the dead are women and children, you can drop the pretence- it’s not ‘urban warfare,’ it’s indiscriminate slaughter.

And the blame for that lies with Hamas for embedding themselves amongst civilians. At least Al Qaeeda and ISIS had the decency not to do that, whereas Hamas have said they're willing to martyr every last civilian. International organisations like NATO have written reports on it. Hamas are barbaric and the only hope for Palestinians now lies with the international community applying pressure on Hamas to accept this peace deal

Thankfully a lot of people never have supported it or have changed their minds as the horror unfolded.

Additionally many people are no longer doing the left right divide (all parties fuck us over and can be easily influenced). People can see that some people are trying to push false narratives in order to forment discord and anger.

Take Charlie Kirk's murder, a lot of the same people who have continually denied what has been happening in Gaza as FAFO, Pallywood or justified tried to hijack the narrative, make Kirk a "martyr" and launch a war on the "left".

Thankfully as their actions were so well documented through the last 2 years they failed and the youngins both left and right called them out. Influencers from both the left and right have joined together and said nope, not today.

For some weird reason after Kirk's death, Hitler praising racist white supremacist Nick Fuentes was invited on to some popular and mostly pro Israeli podcasts for interviews. Listen to these young men call him out for being paid by AIPAC and call for unity. The kids aren't stupid. 5.1 million views.

The majority of the people killed by the government you support are Palestinian civilians though, 70% women and children.

Cities weren’t blanket bombed when fighting ISIS to the point that 92% of homes were flattened, kids weren’t shot by snipers in the head and in the genitals. War crimes were committed and innocent people died but not on this massive scale - that is why the majority of human rights organisations along with many western governments have called this a genocide.
