Not many states have declared it a genocide. Most countries like the UK & Germany are waiting for more evidence. The ones that have done so like Turkey, Egypt & Maldives tend to be Islamic states.

A handful of exceptions in Europe like Spain & Ireland.

Ireland as discussed on another thread have a long history of supporting Palestine against Israel since well before this conflict.

Highly unlikely that ANY government supplying arms to Israel will announce a genocide.

According to the UK government there is not sufficient evidence to classify it as a genocide at the current time.

I will call it a genocide when the UK government does so as that will tell me there is sufficient evidence we as ordinary citizens are not privy to.

perhaps you could set up some sort of auto reply to say “but Hamas” every time someone posts about the 20,000 children at least that Israel has killed, the destruction they have brought to Gaza and the horrifying total of innocent civilians they have bombed, burnt and maimed

Israel have routinely destroyed Gaza’s infrastructure in the past, so maybe they could advise what their plan is this time to replace the hospitals, schools, universities sanitation plants and housing they have destroyed or is it to be left up to the UN with funding from all of us again.

Hamas have investments in Turkey & Qatar, perhaps some pressure can be exerted to make them do the right thing for Gazans for a change.

Hamas run the Gaza Strip and also triggered this current conflict so I guess they should have a plan?

It would be great if they did, save other countries having to get involved in rebuilding Gaza who - let’s face it, won’t do it for nothing.

Well I agree with you 100% on the PFLP flag, but that’s not the same flag as a Palestinian Flag… you would avoid a lot of disagreement if you specified which flag walking by every day was horrific from the start, I like others thought you meant the Palestinian flag.

It would appear as if some posters are still prepared to die on their own sword and throw up any old source written by any old kook to prove that they were right, rather than admit to being the bigger person and saying that maybe they backed the wrong horse and they are in fact wrong. Fine, all in my own words then: Israel could have used intelligence-led, targeted operations and humanitarian-first approaches instead of levelling Gaza/selling it off as real-estate and starving civilians. That’s my position. How would you address that?
