It is so sickening that they continue to act with such impunity. The bombed the hospital killing four journalists and THEN struck a second time killing the rescue workers who were trying to retrieve the bodies of the dead and injured.

The genocide continues in plain sight.

An injured emergency worker is led away by two other emergency workers. There is rubble and wreckage behind them. He is badly hurt.

Four journalists among 15 killed in Israeli strike on hospital, Gaza officials say

The strikes on Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis are said to have killed journalists working for international media.

Whatever 'side' anyone is on when there are bodies in coffins then quiet and respect should be observed.

... if you are in Europe, where this is the local custom. Other places have their own traditions.

To be honest, I too read this sentence as meaning - paraphrasing here, obviously - "why can those Palestinians not just make their funerals more like European customs?", which is rude. Because prior to the interference by the police what I see is a pretty normal Palestinian (Christian; hence the coffin) funeral - and Palestinians as well as everyone else have a right, of course, to define their own cultural customs.

That said: maybe that was genuinely not the intent behind the statement; but when a poster consistently justifies the actions of the Israeli state it does predispose you to read it as "basically, the Palestinians are to blame for how they do funerals".

No there was no rudeness in the response it's just people trying to villainise anyone that supports Israel.

Im sure you believed them when they said they didnt murder all the medics too because why would they kill medics?

As if logic applies to the actions of the IDF who are carrying out a genocide.

Yes actually I do believe they wouldn't target medics for no reason.

That medics will get killed in a war zone is a different thing.

Ok there's no point.

You really didnt read the article. You carry on believing the IDF if it helps you feel better.

Of course I read the article

Its just going round in circles now.

Some people believe the proven liars which are the IDF and the completely biased right wing Israeli news channel 12 over independent main stream reporting.

I don't 100% believe the IDF as obviously they have lied in the past. But I think they are more reliable as a source than Hamas.

Channel 12 may be completely biased I don't know - I only quoted them as a source once. I get most of my information from sources that at least try to present both sides such as the BBC, Times of Israel and the Telegraph. These sources are being honest about the fact that there are different versions of this story and it is still under investigation.

Kakeandkake · 28/08/2025 16:19

Twiglets1 · 28/08/2025 16:17

How could they have done "their own research" that quickly when foreign journalists aren't even allowed into Gaza?

They used local sources to piece together what they think happened and did not admit that some of their information came directly from Hamas.

Ok there's no point.

Yes it was rude.

Gloria was not minimising anything, she specifically said Whatever 'side' anyone is on when there are bodies in coffins then quiet and respect should be observed.

Or do you just prefer to post snippets out of context. You have ignored everything else that Sky news said they found from their own research.

You've decided it's a war crime without even knowing all the facts. You have no idea if the camera was being used by Hamas operatives or not for surveillance purposes or whether there were 6 Hamas militants targeted and killed in the blast or not. You've just decided the IDF must be lying and are choosing to believe instead the Hamas version of events.

Good job you're not on Jury service, eh?

I don’t think a camera, Hamas or not, justifies a double tap strike on a hospital which has killed innocent civilians and journalists. We have all seen the footage,

Twiglets1 · 28/08/2025 16:12

Kakeandkake · 28/08/2025 16:10

It wasn't rude.

Gloriia was minimising the IDF's disgraceful actions where they were attacking pall bearers.

Keep in mind the IDF for a very long time lied (no surprise) that they killed this journalist after there was international outrage.

It was quite awhile later in the irrefutable evidence that they admitted it was them.

Yes it was rude.

Well Sky news did just repeat the Hamas statement as though it were fact so that does bring it's impartiality into question.

Be honest did you read the article?

So there is really no need for your rude tone.

Are there any truly independent organisations? I doubt it, every one seems to take a side in this war it's just that some make the effort to at least appear impartial whereas others like Al Jazeera say don't bother.

Keep repeating the lies even when they have been proven to be lies, eventually people move on, but how to live with justifying war crimes and the killing of innocent civilians, that must be hard

I don’t see any people here quoting Hamas, just The Un, human rights watch, amnesty, the bbc,

As above @Alittlefeedbackwouldbenice this morning quoted from Sky who in turn were just quoting from the Hamas statement.

Kakeandkake · 28/08/2025 15:46

What are you on about? Are you saying that sky news who uncovered IDF lies are repeating Hamas propoganda?

Anyone who just repeats what Hamas say is repeating Hamas propaganda.

Earlier today @Alittlefeedbackwouldbenice said Of the 6 individuals named as militants, 5 Sky couldn't find evidence of terrorist/militant/Hamas involvement, and the 6th, who did have connections to Hamas or similar, was killed the day before, not in this strike.

That comes directly from the Hamas statement In a statement issued later on Tuesday, Hamas challenged the Israeli account of the hospital casualties, denying that any of the Palestinians killed were militants.
The Hamas government media office said in a statement that one of the six Palestinians who Israel alleged were militants was killed in al-Mawasi some distance from the hospital, and another was killed elsewhere at a different time.

It all looked a bit chaotic, sadly the crowd looked out of control.

It is always shocking to see scenes like this when there are coffins, I remember when Shiri Bibas and her 2 son's coffins were handed over the scene of merriment and a party atmosphere by the terrorists and the attendees was sickening.

Whatever 'side' anyone is on when there are bodies in coffins then quiet and respect should be observed.
