It is so sickening that they continue to act with such impunity. The bombed the hospital killing four journalists and THEN struck a second time killing the rescue workers who were trying to retrieve the bodies of the dead and injured.

The genocide continues in plain sight.

An injured emergency worker is led away by two other emergency workers. There is rubble and wreckage behind them. He is badly hurt.

Four journalists among 15 killed in Israeli strike on hospital, Gaza officials say

The strikes on Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis are said to have killed journalists working for international media.

Israel targeted a civilians, HCPs and journalists in the tank bombings of Nasser Hospital last month.

It was a war crime.

Netenyahu may have the resources to escape justice, but the IDF hierarchy who gave the orders to attack Nasser Hospital don't all share that privilege. The individual soldiers in those tanks will definitely pay the price. If they were in the tanks that bombed Nasser Hospital, they are war criminals.

Forever is a long time to live with yourself, always having to look over your shoulder.

It’s so shit.

I wonder what the US will look like in 50 years? Rich people raking it in while us plebs point fingers at the poorest people. The world is definitely becoming darker place.

This is exactly what it already looks like 😓.

It really is. I’m not sure why it frustrates me so much when it’s happened so many times before and I saw it coming. But in this instance, their ‘impressive profits’ are just fuelling the terrorism they were trying to destroy. It’s ludicrous.

Rich people always make money out of war and other crises like Covid.
It's awful really that it's just a way for some powerful people to get even richer.

Some powerful people are going to make an absolute s ton of money and then act surprised when terrorism continues to harm innocent people in the area. The stupidity is quite astounding.

Cam see now what Kushner was involved in the meetings. He has major interests in the area.

There's no need for a government in Gaza or support from Arab countries. Its all a moot point.
Have you seen Trump administration plan today in the Washington Post?

Edited to remove link as it wouldn't work

Looks like Smotrich and co are winning, aren’t they. Disaster capitalism at its best.

Twiglets1 · 31/08/2025 18:56

Gawd I thought Trump had given up that idea.

The surrounding Arab states need to get more involved. Saudi & Egypt can't stand the terrorists in gaza, they need to thrash it out with fat hamas leaders in Qatar and come to some mutually beneficial agreement to keep terrorism under control.

Gaza needs a different 'government'. Again the rich surrounding states could dictate what and how that will be as they clearly can't organise themselves. Israel cannot keep doing it all.

So I’m guessing you supported the Arab proposal then? Or the New York Declaration?

What do you think the answer is so?

@PaxAeterna Here’s an idea, rather than deem the Palestinians in Gaza a lost cause because terrorism is ‘inbred’ in them (which is phrasing you really need to change), how about one side in this conflict treats them with humanity? Now, you could put this on a group of terrorists but history suggests that terrorists and Hamas in particular aren’t capable of caring and protecting at the very least children.

So, guess who the only people are who can attempt to stop this cycle? The Liberal Democracy aka Israel! Now, you might think that’s not fair, what’s in for them? Why should they care about the Palestinians and not just their own people? My opinion is that to save their citizens in the medium - long term, they should be doing as much as possible to break the cycle of extremism. That means removing (as much as possible) the conditions that make people vulnerable to it. These could include limiting/blocking aid leading to starvation, making people watch their children in a famine whilst telling the world there is no starvation, militarisation of humanitarian aid, bombing hospitals. All of this breeds intense hatred because people are losing everything.

What Israel are currently calling ‘wiping out Hamas’ seems to be killing as many Hamas terrorists as possible plus civilians and flattening the whole of Gaza so it is inhabitable. But destroying Hamas isn’t that easy because their ideology is sadly spread beyond Gaza. So the fight is somewhat pointless unless they try and stop people becoming terrorists in the first place. And doing this in Gaza will at least help them not be at war with their immediate neighbours. Israel will sadly always be threatened by other counties in their region but if they want peace with their neighbours, they need to ensure they are treating people with more humanity. Otherwise, as others have said, they are feeding the problem they are trying to destroy.

Isis took a lot of beating too. I dont think hamas is just a group of 50 there are thousands embedded in the communtiy.

If you see how many 'senior' terrorists that have been killed they do seem to be making progress, it's just a shame that innocent civilians don't gather together and help a bit to overthrow them.

Yes you’d think civilians would stop their desperate search for food and water for just a minute to give the lovely IDF a dig out with their bare hands.

Only a very small percentage of those killed have been Hamas. The Israeli war machine method is not working well.

What caused the growth and spreading of Al Qaeda and Isis in the first place?

Israel may well be creating an insurgency breeding ground.

I would say its absolutely bloody obvious that Israel are creating a whole new generation of terrorists.

So you’re suggesting that if you were in that position - displaced, starving, potentially watching your child(ren) starve, surrounded by armed Hamas and IDF soldiers - your first thought would be to fight against Hamas (with what weapon?) and not just try and survive? I hate to tell you but I don’t think you would last 30secs confronting Hamas. I’m sure after decades under terrorist rule, they know to keep their heads down and hope to survive.

I wonder if the reason Israel has still not defeated Hamas after 2 years and full American backing (83% of the thousands of Palestinians killed so far are not terrorists but ‘regrettable collateral damage’ ) is that their methods aren’t working.

Not usually spying on the actions of an opposing army no. I mean yes they could maybe survey their own premises and car park for terrorists that'd be a handy deterrent, maybe to keep them away from 'civilians'.

I see surveillance cameras everywhere I go in the U.K. Even Sainsbury’s.

Nearer the start of the war some kind of evidence of terrorists in a hospital was seeing - on a hospital camera - some men rushing in and putting someone on a trolly.

Anyway there are ways of turning off a camera that don’t involve bombing a whole lot of people.
