It's been such a long time since 13th Oct when they began to release the living hostages and returning the non living ones, the length of time between each hostage being brought home has become longer and longer.

He cannot be forgotten, he cannot be left behind, until Ran is brought home no one can fully move on.

It's the solstice tomorrow and as the year turns I can't help thinking of Ran Gvili and those still waiting for his return. May their long, long wait soon be over and he soon rest in peace in home soil.

Ran Gvili

24 years old, and a police man.

I understand he was at home with a broken shoulder, when the kibbutz he lived in was attacked, and went out to protect his family, friends, neighbours and community.

What a brave man, truly heroic actions at such a young age.

I hope Ran Gvili is returned soon to be given the respect he deserves.
