Conflict in the Middle East

Gazan GHF workers left to die at hospital where Doctors Without Borders is.

As stated by GHF spokesman Chapin Fay in the below interview with Channel 4 new presenter Krishnan Guru Murthy.

At 7.30 minutes in the video, Mr Fay stated 9 local workers were murdered and the 20 injured were refused treatment at Nasser hospital, where Doctors Without Borders were, and left to die in the courtyard.

These were Palestinians!

Why was there no outcry about this? It seems that they were refused treatment because they were working for GHF. That is shocking.

It was interesting that Mr Fay said GHF is funded by the US as well as several donor countries from Europe who don’t wish to be named.

The whole interview was an absolute car crash and the presenter was totally unprofessional and disgustingly rude IMO, sitting in a comfy newsroom while firing allegations at an organisation who’s workers are at massive risk, getting death threats, and are actually being killed for trying to get free (as it should be) aid to Palestinians and from the response from a lot them at the sites, they are needed.

I think it’s pretty obvious why there has been conflict outside of the aid centres TBH.

I commend Mr Fay on his patience I have to say.

A disgusting smear attempt from Channel 4.

I wonder if Guru Murthy will take up the offer to go into Gaza himself.

'If MSF are being threatened by Hamas why are they not alerting the UN or the IDF if Hamas is located in the hospital?'

They daren't, these doctors will all be dancing to hamas' tune. We have a Dr Maynard a Dr who has a keffiyeh on in one of his speeches on X, Dr James Smith who has a article in aljazeera a female Dr a couple of months ago who said she never saw hamas ever it was only IDF villains apparently with weapons. I'm not obviously suggesting they support hamas but to contuine their virtue signalling white saviour work they of course have to do what they are told. Or they'd be shot.

Martymcfly24 · 16/08/2025 09:06

I was thinking the same @PinkBobby . I was also wondering why when Hamas had made such credible threats in the previous days GHF sent a large group of workers out on a bus without any protection.

It was reported on many media sources. An absolutely heinous attack by the terrorist group.

The issue however is that @CyberStranger and Chapin Fay clearly tried to discredit MSF by stating that they refused to treat the victims and they were left to die in a courtyard. Credible evidence "not in the emergency room" would suggest this was a complete fabrication.

I meant no one on MN from the pro Pal side was particularly bothered about these aid workers at the time. I was the one expressing sympathy for them but I had people arguing with me that they even were aid workers.

The story about MSF doctors refusing to treat them? Like a lot of things happening in Gaza, we don’t know the truth so we don’t know if it’s a complete fabrication or not.

PinkBobby · 16/08/2025 09:04

I wonder whether the number of injured people, lack of resources and general flattening of hospitals means lots of people are being ‘left to die’ because there just aren’t the staff or resources to help them. Perhaps we only hear about these people tragically dying in this manner because they are linked to the US.

Desperate measures to defend against their narrative - just like the Hamas operative hiding amongst Al Jazeera reporters. MSF, UN, Amnesty International et al - all believed, because they shroud their organisations in virtue. I saw a plea for MSF donations advertisement, recently. I was reminded of when I woke up to the distribution of Comic Relief donations, many years ago.

Did you read the fact that they are only in the maternity and paediatric units of that hospital ?

Now I don't know how many pregnant women or children were on the bus of GHF workers but it seems they did not refuse to treat the workers.

Maybe they did when they discovered they were being refused treatment and that’s why there’s not much more information, due to location and the safety of family members still in Gaza.

The GHF statement in the Times of Israel link I attached earlier said:

We are working through many channels to transfer the injured from the hospital in Khan Younis to facilities with more robust capabilities

So it sounds like they were taken somewhere else and some more may have died from their injuries hence the UN figure of 12.

It’s all over X now. Hopefully the MSM media will pick this up (although unlikely) and Mr Fay will publish the evidence he says he has before this is buried again.

I had read some allegations about MSF before but this is shocking.

Hardly an unbiased organisation if they have left Palestinian aid workers to die after being attacked by Hamas, while also making allegations that Israel is targeting Palestinian aid workers.

Then their doctors giving interviews on Western TV making allegations that Israel is targeting civilians with absolutely no evidence.

I think Mr Fay would know better than you or I if there was killing on the aid sites.

Do you rate Hamas as more credible than him? Obviously you must do if you don’t believe him but believe Hamas reports?

On what basis though?

Because his organisation and it’s workers are toiling every day to provide the free aid to Palestinians to which they are entitled to while risking their lives and being murdered by Hamas?

Do you realise how crazy that sounds?

Perhaps the media didn’t make much of the story because the facts didn’t stack up? Just a thought

It was fact that Palestinian aid workers got attacked & some died - whatever the truth about MSF. So it's a shame no one really seemed to care about them because they worked for GHF.

Thegreyhound · 16/08/2025 08:27

Twiglets1 · 16/08/2025 07:02

The UK media did not make much of this story at the time it happened - only the Times of Israel were really interested in exposing it.

I remember talking about it on MN at the time and very little sympathy expressed for these Palestinian aid workers who got attacked ( some died) because they worked for the GHF.

Agree and the smearing of Doctors without Borders is very unfair.

The smearing of Doctors Without Borders is unsurprising- see also the UN, the UNWRA, Amnesty, Human Rights Watch, dead journalists.
These are liberal institutions/professions with concern for human rights and international law. So the only reasons I can think of why anyone would want to smear them are
a) they don’t want some humans to have rights
b) they don’t believe in international law
c) they don’t want anyone to write what is happening

Martymcfly24 · 16/08/2025 08:22

But this isn't about Hamas . Do I believe they attacked the bus and prevented medical care for the victims. Absolutely sounds right up their alley. Do I believe MSF as well. Yes.

The number of deaths has been debated many times on here.

Twiglets1 · 16/08/2025 08:10

Martymcfly24 · 16/08/2025 07:47

Crazy?
www.msf.org/response-ghf-allegations-regarding-msf-activities-nasser-hospital

Furthermore, MSF staff have not been present in the emergency department of Nasser hospital since 2024, which further debunks this baseless accusation.

Hopefully he will publish the evidence soon because the evidence he is completely lying is stacking up .

To date, we have seen no credible evidence that healthcare was refused by Ministry of Health or other medical staff. Should proof emerge of such an act, it would constitute a clear breach of the core humanitarian principles of impartiality and medical ethics.

Everyone wants to see credible evidence now. Shame no one seems to demand credible evidence of the number of deaths supplied by Hamas ... or indeed credible evidence of who is doing the shooting in every case that gets reported.

It's like Hamas are a completely trustworthy source with the way people just accept what they say without questioning it.

Interesting to see people who never question the number of deaths reported by Hamas getting all “where’s the evidence?” now a different organisation has reported deaths.

So did they die or not?
Did Doctors without Borders refuse treatment or was it Hamas?

To be honest if he his information is as poor on this as it was on the other things he talks about (no killings on the sites?) it shows how is credibility is zero.

Also why did the GHF not go to pick up their workers and bring them to an Israeli hospital?

They were left to die after being refused treatment and left in a courtyard.

Isn’t that bad enough?

Palestinians refused treatment by an international humanitarian organisation at a Palestinian hospital, after being attacked on their way to work to get aid to fellow Palestinians.

Absolutely shocking.

If MSF are being threatened by Hamas why are they not alerting the UN or the IDF if Hamas is located in the hospital?

Why is no one anywhere reporting that they were refused treatment because of who they were working for?

The UN said that Subsequently, they held the workers in their custody in Khan Younis, and allegedly further tortured them and prevented medical treatment.

So obviously someone told them? What makes you think it wasn't MSF?

CyberStranger · 15/08/2025 22:13

Why do you think this isn’t the same incident?

Because none of it adds up to be quite frank. Did the terror group prevent the dead and wounded from being allowed into Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis or did the hospital workers refuse to treat them because of who they were working for?

Martymcfly24 · 15/08/2025 22:17

CyberStranger · 15/08/2025 22:13

I don’t think it is at all,

He very clearly says they were dropped at a hospital where Doctors without Borders is and they were refused treatment.

This contradicts the article where is says Hamas is the reason the people did not get treatment

Martymcfly24 · 15/08/2025 22:13

CyberStranger · 15/08/2025 22:11

It’s obviously the same incident. Sounds like one of the injured died afterwards, making 9 deaths. 20 injured. Hopefully the others survived. He did say left for dead.

Even if Hamas threatened them at the time, why are doctors from MSF giving interviews after returning from Gaza after that time without saying anything about it?

Why has the UN not said anything about it?

His words were "left to die in the courtyard" that would imply they all died.
