So do you think people should just be permitted to post distortions, misinformation and flat out lies, and not expect to be pulled up on it?

There are lots of people on this board with varying levels of knowledge about the situation, and when untrue things are posted it can affect how others build their own narratives. You may think that doesn't matter. I completely disagree. If you post an untruth that I see, I'm going to mention it.

No one knows which country has broken the most international laws ever.

Israel has broken the most UN resolutions. UN resolutions are not law.

Get it right, or risk it being drawn attention to.

And if you post an lie to make Israel look worse, then having been caught in that lie,

refuse to take it back, accusations of your prejudice against Israel are plausible.

There’s little point in defending it. The stats speak for themselves and whatever media source or NGOs stats I quote I’ll be told it’s rubbish, they would say that. They are anti semetic, they don’t think Israel should exist or they are being paid by Qatar.

The list is endless and it gets exhausting.

Pointless to continue engaging with posters who are just flying the flag for Netenyah and think Israel can do no wrong. We will never see each other’s point and can’t even agree to disagree as the same posters start shouting down any meaningful discussion.

No mention of a specific year in the UN's opinion ... no it was a blanket statement which @justanotherpassword has not come back to defend.

The 'court' of public opinion would horrify you in the real world. I'm not talking about pre generated tables, I'm talking about every day men and women, who don't agree that Israel are terrorists. I tell you what they do think. They are glad that Israel has got the balls to take on the real terrorists because they are keeping the wolves from the door. Islamic extremism - note extremism, note moderate - is a global threat. @Dangermoo

Interestingly, the "court of public opinion" does not regard Hamas as being terrorists. About 85 % of the worlds population live in countries where Hamas are not designated as being a terrorist organisation.

I don’t like the pile ons or the moving the goalposts or the personal attacks or the exaggerations when the truth is actually bad enough or the emotional manipulations.

They don’t actually upset me anymore though. More like it’s just boring to see the same techniques used by different users all thinking they’re being original.

Going back to the 'irrelevance' of the hostages - doesn't that statement confirm these posters aren't interested in how the arab-Israeli conflict got to where it is now? Well sadly, no. I was told the past wasn't relevant. I always look at how incessant those messages are and read between the lines of those posts.

Yes I did read that one.

That was what I based my answers on.

As it says, 22 unexplained deaths because autopsies weren’t done in Israel. It doesn’t say why. The deaths attributed to SUNDS (which seems to affect that demographic) obviously did have autopsies done.

The report doesn’t differentiate between men and women being sexually assaulted. It says 100% of those surveyed had said they were. I could believe 75%, even 90% but 100% doesn’t sound plausible to me, especially as most of the workers are men. None of the workers spoke in the video, even anonymously and with translation.

Israel is a very small country, you’d expect word to travel among the Thai community fast about these unexplained deaths and sexual assaults. Especially in the Kibbutzims where a lot of the slaughtered Thai workers and those taken hostage (all men) were.

It raises questions that the Israelis in these Kibbutzims had a lot of Palestinian workers right up to.Oct 7th but they haven’t made any accusations about this themselves and the Israelis (who were slaughtered on Oct 7th) also ferried Palestinians to Israeli hospitals but the report says Thai workers were denied medical care?

How does that make sense? Thai workers were treated worse than Palestinians?

Here’s an article about a Gazan who worked in Israel right up until Oct 7th and was killed by Hamas gunmen on his way there. Note what his brother says about his work and how the Israeli farmer and the IDF treated him, although there is a particular spin from this publication, but you can read between the lines quite easily.

This is why we come on these threads to challenge stuff like this. On another thread a poster said they were sick of the hostages, sick of Oct 7th. Absolutely staggering as if they were talking about a new Netflix show that was a a bit boring.
