the only times Jewish people are included is when they've been targets or victims

Exactly.

Which is why it is incredibly concerning and, quite frankly disturbing, that people are trying to push a narrative that there is any kind of risk from Jewish “terrorists”. Or that France don’t have anything to worry about from taking in people from Gaza.

What is actually going on here?

Radicalisation? Anti-semitism?

What is it that is happening?

True

Notmycircusnotmyotter · 02/08/2025 14:09

Why on earth would they evacuate Palestinians? It's inviting trouble

For anyone interested, here's the list of terror attacks in France in the 21st century.

It's a long list, and the only times Jewish people are included is when they've been targets or victims:

Fully agree with this,

the Charlie Hebdo attacks weren’t that long ago either. France are right to be cautious about accepting people from an Islamic extremist terrorist state.

But heaven forbid Jews aren’t somehow blamed or moaned about on these threads. I can’t recall a terror attack in the name of Judaism but we have to treat them like they are as bad

Trying to frame French citizens as being at equal or greater risk from Jewish “terrorists”, to that of Islamic terrorism, is utterly deranged.

Did the past decade of Islamic terror attacks in France just not happen?

Were there some Jewish terror attacks that I missed?

Also, what is with the push to try and frame Islamic terrorism as some kind of “natural disaster” type situation that no one can (or should try to) do anything about?

France are absolutely right to take steps to minimise any further risk to the people living in their country.

Where are people’s heads at?

Is it in the name of Judaism with 100% Jewish oppressors enforcing Jewish beliefs on others?

I don’t think there are actually any proscribed Jewish terrorist groups. Not to mention that Israel only has 76% Jewish population, so I’m not sure we can call those Jews either.

Jews dont proselytise. They actually discourage conversion and they do not force their beliefs on anyone. Quite the contrary

Islam.on the other hand.

The Jewish people's faith isn't so brittle that they feel the need to gun down anyone who criticises it. Unlike the Charlie Hebdo gunmen.

Islam wants to impose it's beliefs on the entire world. Jews don't proselytise and conversion is discouraged.

I'd say some of the settler actions in the West Bank amounts to terrorism.

Charlie Hebdo, Nice, Samuel Paty...and there have been others...

There have been, in both France and Germany, a constant stream of stabbings and car attacks more recently. It seems to have eased off the last few weeks but earlier this year it was at least one a week.

Barely makes the news - normalised, almost.

You could be right, but how does that affect what decision should be made about whether an Israeli would be safe to let into your country?

If the Israelis are committing terrorist atrocities in the West Bank and in Gaza, how does that lead to assumptions they will do the same in Paris or London? For what purpose? To gain what?

Too darn right about French politicians being cautious on this issue.

What risk to French Arabs?

Israeli’s aren’t running around Paris on shooting sprees, killing 137 people in a single day.

They aren’t driving trucks into crowds.

They aren't beheading French teachers or priests.

France has and has had enough problems will Islamic extremism and terrorism. They care about actual risk.

Does that mean you would support a blanket ban on visas for Israelis?

What has any of this got to do with Israeli’s? Why are you dragging Jewish people into a situation that has absolutely nothing to do with them.

Can we use The F word here?

Yes. You've always been able to swear as much as you like on MN, just obviously not directed at another poster.

For those asking, FAFO is Fuck Around, Find Out.

I dont know what a lot of those letters mean, however on your last point about screening processes, I mean whats that going to look like ?

Erm are you anti semitic? Do you wish death to all Jews? Do you want to see the end of the Jewish state?

Oh of course not officer, no Im happy as things stand and in fact my best friend's mothers, neighbours, cat's milk man is a Jewish person, please let me in.

FAFO..

Can we use The F word here? How about "Fart Around, Find Out"...or in other words, "actions have consequences"..

You're right about the screening, no idea what will be done.

I suspect in this case the authorities are sending a message - we are watching you so remember you are not in Gaza anymore..

SpaceRaccoon · 02/08/2025 13:38

Do you think that French Arabs feel the same confidence as you do that Jewish terrosists if given the chance won't attack them too?

Oh come on. I can paste the list of terrorist attacks in France over the last two decades, and who was responsible.

So daily attacks against Arabs are fine because they keep it localised for now? See this is hypocracy that gets me everytime. People aren't against terrorism in general, they are against terrorism against them. Happy to turn a blind eye to Jewish terrorism because you feel safe, you feel like you won't be the target. Do you think that French Arabs feel the same confidence as you do that Jewish terrosists if given the chance won't attack them too?

What is Jewish Terrorism? Can you give examples?

Israel is not a terrorist organisation. HTH

Jewish terrorism poses a risk to Arabs in Israel / Palestine.

Islamic terrorism poses a risk to Jews and others in the Middle East, North Africa, Europe and other places.

The 2 are not directly comparable.

You tell me one incident of Jewish terrorism outside of Israel / Palestine.

And now how many incidents of Islamic terrorism outside of Israel / Palestine can you think of?

What is Jewish terrorism?

France doesn't seem to care about the risk to French Arabs by letting Israelis in? 5 mins on twitter or the Israel subreddit will give you plenty of racist, disgusting views from Israelis to screenshot. The majority of Israelis want to ethnically cleanse Palestinians, a shocking amount of them want every man, woman and child killed if polls are to be believed. Just last week there was a video of a cruise ship of Israelis chanting 'Death to Arabs'. Does that mean you would support a blanket ban on visas for Israelis?

The only attacks French Arabs are at risk from in France is Islamic terrorist attacks.

We have all seen these attacks happen and unfold in France over the past decade.

It’s incredible that you actually believe anyone in France is at risk from Jewish “terrorists”.

Can you provide any more information on any of these Jewish “terrorist organisations” operating in France? Or are they just a figment of your imagination?
