Conflict in the Middle East

50 Jewish children kicked off plane, female supervisor allegedly beaten to the ground and handcuffed!

Another shocking act of global antisemitism.

50 French Jewish kids aged 10-15 apparently attended a summer camp in Spain.

On the flight back to France, before takeoff while plane still on tarmac, they were accused of being rowdy and singing ‘Death to Arabs’ in Hebrew (no evidence they were saying that). Police were called, they were told to get off and their 21 year old female supervisor ended up being beaten to the ground and forcibly handcuffed.

According to witnesses on the plane, the children stopped singing when asked and were well behaved, and nothing was amiss. The crew made a tannoy announcement that there were security concerns and police entered the plane and told the kids to get off. The female supervisor was ordered to make the kids hand over their phones so footage of them being removed from the plane could be deleted and she was beaten to the ground and handcuffed when she refused. The Captain allegedly said Israel was a terrorist state.

She later had to sign an NDA to be released.

The Captain has been identified as being a flying instructor for two of the 9/11 plane hijackers.

WTAF!

You would assume they made the outbound trip in the same circumstances though wouldn’t you?

They were RETURNING to France.

Maybe they were a little better behaved having just said goodbye to their parents, but that wore off.

Literally nobody has said that

Literally no one on here is believing the account from the kids, their parents or other passengers on the flight though………………

One 21 year old was in charge of 50 kids on the plane? I’m surprised they allowed that booking. It sounds like a recipe for disaster.

Exactly what I was thinking.

Nothing to do with anyone being Jewish or singing/ not singing Death to Arabs. Everything to do with being out of control, over excited teenagers with no one in authority to control them - obviously led to some rowdy behaviour, which the pilot did not want continuing whilst in the air.

50 10-15 yo kids on a plane, supervised by one 21 yo?

It would be a miracle if they weren’t a pain in the arse. Whoever planned this is an idiot.

So from the responses, posters on here would be OK with 50 French Arab Muslim children, who have nothing to do with the Palestinians, being forcibly kicked off a plane by Spanish armed police for saying something in Arabic, and their young female supervisor being beaten to the ground and forcibly put into handcuffs because she refused to hand over the kids phones, because of what Hamas did on Oct 7th?

You also wouldn’t believe the children or witnesses that they weren’t being disruptive, despite there being no evidence that they were?

I wonder how many answers I’ll get to that……….

Literally nobody has said that

MrsBennetsPoorNerves · 25/07/2025 22:12

The two accounts of what happened are so very different that it's hard to get a picture of what actually happened. I will be reserving judgement until some other independent witness testimonies start to emerge.

So suddenly you are okay with collective punishment. It is okay to punish French children because of a conflict with which they are not involved.

Martymcfly24 · 25/07/2025 22:08

What's the source on that @Anonimummy ?

Anonimummy · 25/07/2025 22:06

This is interesting if true.

Have the French authorities made any statement about 50 French minors being separated from their supervisor abroad and what they did to help them get home safely?

WILL FRANCE PROTECT FRENCH CHILDREN — OR NOT, SIMPLY BECAUSE THEY ARE ALSO JEWISH?
^^
By now, most people have heard the story of the 50 French children, aged 10–15, who were forcibly removed from a Vueling Airlines flight, while their 21-year-old group leader was violently handcuffed and arrested.
^^
The children were returning home from a Jewish summer camp, flying from Valencia to Paris. According to reports, they were singing Hebrew songs onboard—prompting the crew to declare them "disruptive" and have them all removed from the flight.
^^
Video footage shows the young director, a woman, pinned to the floor and handcuffed by Spanish police.
^^
The Airline issued a statement claiming the group was removed for “highly disruptive behavior,” including interfering with emergency equipment and safety demonstrations. The airline denied any religious motive.
^^
Spanish Civil Guard claimed that they were unaware of the passengers’ religious affiliation and acted solely on the airline’s request based on safety concerns -including several men handcuffing a non-violent young woman which itself is strange. But witnesses and parents tell a different story.
^^
They say the children were simply singing a Hebrew song before takeoff. After a warning from the crew, they stopped immediately—yet police were still called. Some counselors and parents allege that crew members referred to Israel as a “terrorist state” and insisted the group be removed.
^^
So what happened next? According to various reports, the children were split up: 25 boarded a different airline, while the rest were put up in a hotel overnight in Valencia before flying back to France.
^^
The director was arrested but later released—some reports suggest she was forced to sign a non-disclosure agreement. The children were eventually taken care of by camp staff and local authorities. But what about France?
^^
Did the French government stand up for its citizens—its children? It seems not. French authorities have made no public statements beyond vague consular assistance. There has been no significant political response or outrage.
^^
The Israeli Foreign Ministry stated that most of the group made it back to Paris the next day, and that Israeli diplomats coordinated with French officials to assist them. But these weren’t Israeli citizens. They were French citizens. Why was it the Israeli government stepping in to help them, not France?
^^
Is Jewish identity now a reason for the French state to look the other way? Imagine if the same thing had happened to a group of French Muslim children. Would anyone expect a Muslim country to intervene on their behalf instead of France? Of course not. So why is it acceptable in this case?
^^
Based on diplomatic norms and past precedents, it would be reasonable to expect some level of inquiry or response from the French government—especially when a large group of French minors is involved, and particularly when there are allegations of mistreatment, possible antisemitism, or discrimination. The use of force and arrest of a French citizen abroad, especially a young woman responsible for accompanying children, would typically prompt at least a formal reaction. Historically, when French minors on organized trips abroad have been involved in accidents, medical emergencies, or controversial incidents, the French government has responded. Consular officials were often dispatched, internal reviews were opened through the Foreign Ministry or the Ministry of National Education, and updates were provided to the public and parliament—especially when the situation touched on human rights or discrimination. So why, in this case, has France chosen silence? Is the protection of French children conditional—only guaranteed if they aren’t Jewish?

Hamas isn’t relevant here.

Israel IS killing children.

Since when was it normal to sing in a group on a plane? The answer is NEVER. It’s rude and rowdy.

This is just FAFO in action.

Martymcfly24 · 25/07/2025 21:40

"One of my friends shouted a word in Hebrew because he was still a bit in holiday-camp mood," he said, adding: "Perhaps he said it too loudly."
Flight staff then warned that they would alert police if it happened again, he said. "We immediately stopped making noise," Samson said."

To me this sounds like a Mumsnet school v parent thread. AIBU for my child not to do his detention because he didn't do wrong..

I am very pro Judaism and even I think these kids sound like brats and deserved to be kicked off.

With the hugest possible respect, Judaism isn’t the problem here

Fault lies with extremists (on both sides - just to a greater or lesser extent)

mamagogo1 · 25/07/2025 21:39

Whether it’s acceptable to kick them off the plane is down to behaviour. I wasn’t there so cannot tell you whether they reached the threshold of compromising safety but reports I’ve read suggest they wouldn’t be quiet during the safety demonstration (a legal obligation to fly) tampered with life jackets and tried to release the oxygen masks. The 21 year old had no control over them at all and no idea how such a large group was allowed without more adults. As to what happened next after disembarking, no idea.

what was said and whether it was provocative let’s say again reports vary but chanting has been mentioned in a French language newspaper but by a minority of the children

If 50 French Arab Muslim children were behaving like idiots and tampering with airline equipment, I absolutely would support them being kicked off the plane.

If Israel is a terrorist state then so is the majority of Europe and the US! Honey you're fucking living in a terrorist state if that's your take!

They’re largely supporting a terrorist state yes but other than that not sure I get your logic. But not looking for it either. This isn’t a debate. It’s evil happening in front of our eyes. Please don’t honey me either.

Custardanddreams · 25/07/2025 21:31

I wouldn't want to travel with 50 unruly kids that only has one supervisor. I don't care what nationality they are. The airline took the sensible course of action here.

It’s not because of Hamas though is it? It’s because of the behaviour of this individual group of children.

You can blame Hamas for many things, but the behaviour of a bunch of French kids on a school trip isn’t one of them.

What was antisemitic about his response?

“the group of teenagers was tampering with passenger safety equipment…attempting to release life jackets, tampering with overhead oxygen masks and removing high pressure oxygen cylinder [sic]”.
“Will the patriots be with Vueling? Will the law and order lot be with air safety? Will the xenophobes be with the Spanish company? Or will they all be chummy together, backing the Israeli brats?”

Calling them "Israeli" when, as per my understanding, they were in fact French would be antisemitic in the sense of "conflating all Jews with Israel".

In any case, a minister calling any kids "brats", no matter how badly behaved, seems off.

So you don’t think singing death to Arabs is wrong? Its disgusting and yes they should be arrested

What evidence is there that they were?
