Conflict in the Middle East

50 Jewish children kicked off plane, female supervisor allegedly beaten to the ground and handcuffed!

Another shocking act of global antisemitism.

50 French Jewish kids aged 10-15 apparently attended a summer camp in Spain.

On the flight back to France, before takeoff while plane still on tarmac, they were accused of being rowdy and singing ‘Death to Arabs’ in Hebrew (no evidence they were saying that). Police were called, they were told to get off and their 21 year old female supervisor ended up being beaten to the ground and forcibly handcuffed.

According to witnesses on the plane, the children stopped singing when asked and were well behaved, and nothing was amiss. The crew made a tannoy announcement that there were security concerns and police entered the plane and told the kids to get off. The female supervisor was ordered to make the kids hand over their phones so footage of them being removed from the plane could be deleted and she was beaten to the ground and handcuffed when she refused. The Captain allegedly said Israel was a terrorist state.

She later had to sign an NDA to be released.

The Captain has been identified as being a flying instructor for two of the 9/11 plane hijackers.

I think it might depend on whether one believes he is genuinely protecting his own people. I am of that belief but I'm not afraid to admit it; I don't necessarily agree with all his methods. On the other hand, I have no hesitation in believing Hamas care nothing for their people. That makes it easier for my stance on this conflict. There's also the matter of me not believing all Palestinian civilians, are exactly that. Having said that, because of its complexity, I don't believe any of us can be wrong or right - only Muslims and Jews can have a deep understanding - scholars can assert their thoughts, but their work conflicts with other scholars. but Just my opinion.

I believe he protecting himself, his wife and certain equally corrupt colleagues, no one else.

Otherwuse, I mostly agree with you 🤷‍♀️

I don’t blame you for not believing what Hamas says. Just as I don’t believe any of Israel’s excuses for the things they do. But to me, the difference is Hamas is a terrorist organisation - their interests are their own. Israel is meant to be a civilised society with one of the world’s most advanced intelligence systems. The onus is on Israel, as the stronger power, to ensure, at the very least, no war crimes are carried out. That they continue to do so, makes it lose any credibility in what it does.

But either way, Israel is governed by a war mongering madman in the form of Netanyahu together with others who hate Palestinians. I’m not sure he’s any better than Hamas.

Spot on. The blood of so many is on his hands. All to keep himself and his corrupt colleagues out of prison. I hope he is arrested the next moment he sets foot outside of the protection of Israel.

Do you really not see that Netanyahu is equally evil, devious and manipulative as Hamas leaders?

If a group of kids were behaving badly and their supervisors losing control, is it so beyond belief that a story might be concocted when they were caught out?

Not beyond belief, but I wouldnt think it likely given the availability of witnesses and (presumably) camera footage.

The fact that the independeny witnesses that have come forward are supporting the kids further makes me think this might be true - but it is too early to say.

The fact that Spain's transport minister then called them "Israeli brats" isn't exactly painting Spain's transportation workers in the best light either.

What proofs?

The pics of ill children with their obviously not starving parents?

The thousands of tonnes of aid rotting in the sun that the UN has been refusing to distribute?

I have quite a good ability to differentiate between bullshit and fact, thanks.

You have zero ability to differentiate bullshit and facts. Indeed your post shows ignorance of the basic biological facts around starvation in adults and children.

You think Palestinian parents are starving their children?

That generally is not the approach this forum, the press, or anywhere else takes when serious allegations are made - and you're in various other threads making allegations (many that I'm sympathetic to, but that's not the point).

Why are you singling out these children's allegations to be ignored-until-proven?

I’m not singling out these children! What I am is somewhat sceptical of the reason behind starting a thread based on pure speculation. Something that MN frowns upon generally.

Im fairly familiar with the site. Been here since the beginning.

Please will you apologise for your accusation?

That's where I agree and disagree. People are saying Hamas are using children as collateral damage, when it's Israel, who is accused of the exact same. I don't believe all I see and read on the humanitarian crisis. I'm not calling what I see as a conspiracy theory. Thats just my description of my view. Hamas have outed themselves as having zero credibility. You will of course say you feel the same about Israel. I never have and never will trust the word of proscribed terrorists. Evil, devious and manipulative don't accord with my search for the truth.

The party was disembarked for some reason. Obviously it will be contested as airlines sue these days when their business operation is compromised at great cost.

It costs tens of thousands of pounds and disrupts the travel plans of 100s. Airline staff might not be able to meet following duties, ongoing flights may be disrupted due to the plane being in the wrong place etc. The airline staff would have to justify their actions and the involvement of security staff if passengers resisted. It is a big deal financially and practically.

To imagine this action would be taken as a consequence of antisemitic beliefs of an individual (like the pilot) is beyond reason. To imagine that all crew and the airline in general is willing to disrupt their organisational operation because of corporate antisemitic beliefs is also beyond reason.

The most likely explanation is that disembarkation was for a valid reason rather than an ideological belief.

Unless you already believe in global antisemitism in which case you as an individual are primed to see discrimination and evil intent everywhere. And as a sad consequence see evil against ‘enemies that want to destroy you’ and all their countrymen and offspring as justified.

I’m all for listening to kids but I also don’t understand what possible motive a commercial enterprise would have to refuse to carry people based on their ethnicity? That would be a disastrous financial model.

It will be very interesting to find out the actual sequence of events in the course of time.

This might shock you to hear, but some people are racist.

MrsSkylerWhite · 26/07/2025 14:59

MyDearEagle · 26/07/2025 14:55

Yes, but they have strongly denied that (including layering up and initiating a complaint) and it seems various independent witnesses have come forward in support.

It'd be pretty wild of them to go so public with a false story that could likely be easily debunked by cctv, but we'll see.

The airline is alleging otherwise. Best to wait until facts are established, surely?

Presumably they would have been kicked off the plane whatever religion they belonged to if they were tampering with equipment and not obeying the cabin crew. The title should be 50 French students...

Not everything is to do with the Palestine conflict or antisemitism sometimes it's just bad behaviour.

Probably not a bad idea. There are plenty of verifiable sources. Perhaps only they ought to be relied upon.

Okay folks, no more talking about the situation in Gaza. We have to wait until the international courts have weighed in and confirmed who, if anyone, has committed any war crimes or other wrongdoing.

Catch you all in a few years.

Ah, edited highlights, ok.

What has the children being Jewish got to do with them being “kicked off” the plane if they were behaving in an unsafe manner, in contravention of the airlines requirements?

OP’s leap to anti-Semitism without evidence was just wrong, plain and simple. As was starting a thread based on speculation on X of all bloody places. Don’t you agree.

Their statement that the pilot trained the 9/11 terrorists was clearly inflammatory.

I agree with a pp, this thread should be taken down.

Will you apologise for your false accusation that I am anti-Semitic before it is ?

The fact that THEY ARE ALLEGING THEY WERE KICKED OFF FOR BEING JEWISH.

MyDearEagle · 26/07/2025 14:43

Or is it only allegations of antisemitism that cant be discussed until proven?

notimagain · 26/07/2025 14:49

... that the pilot is somehow a terrorist supporter and didn’t want to fly Jewish children on his plane. The guy didn’t know who they were yet it’s now being used against him.

The story seems to be that way back the captain followed a well worn path of doing his basic flying training in the US.

Post that he built hours towards his commercial licences by instructing in Florida(?), during which time he ended up, pretty much by chance and just like a few other people, interacting with a couple of the future partcipants in 9/11.

That's pretty much it.....

I think even trying to claim that children dying of starvation is conspiracy theory, like OP and in fact several others I know IRL, falls into the category of sick and disgust.

Bollocks. There was motive in the statement. Trying to paint a picture of an Arab/terrorist sympathiser.

It is a fact.

Which may or may not have a bearing on the incident.

As well as the picture of the Palestinian flag purportedly in the cockpit of the plane which is as yet unconfirmed to be the plane in the incident.

Still extremely odd that any non-Palestinian (and there is no Palestinian airline) plane would have a flag in its cockpit IMO.

I began it because it’s a shocking story and if it is what it seems to be, it is a shocking act of antisemitism.

Why shouldn’t I start a thread about it? It is in direct relation to the conflict because it wouldn’t have happened without it being used an excuse for it.

See the 1st response to my OP.

What is happening now is on another scale to how the Jewish people were scapegoated in 1930s Germany IMO, under the thinly veiled lie that people are just being anti-Israeli government,

I’m not Jewish btw.

Exactly. If it’s what it seems to be. Why not wait until you’re certain before starting a thread accusing people of anti-Semitism?
