Starmer’s diplomatic efforts with Trump appear to be bearing fruit:

“The U.S. president rejected Netanyahu’s characterization, saying: “Based on television, I would say not particularly, because those children look very hungry — but we’re giving a lot of money and a lot of food, and other nations are now stepping up.”
Starmer, who faces intense domestic pressure over Gaza, including from MPs in his own party, then chimed in to say: “It’s a humanitarian crisis. It’s an absolute catastrophe. Nobody wants to see that. And I think people in Britain are revolted at what they’re seeing on their screens.”

Even if it’s only 500,000 people signing up to a mail list, it still shows people are expressing their interest and wanting to find out more. That’s half a million people in only a few days. It sounds like sour grapes to dismiss this.

It shows the Labour Party the level of discontent at their policies and direction of travel. It will give them food for thought.

In a way … It did occur to me that it could be a good thing for the Labour Party to get rid of the more extreme elements.

The British public tends to like political parties they see as being moderate.

But if it does gain popularity, it will be a gift for right wing parties to split the left wing vote.

Its also interesting that, though everyone tells us the pro-Pals care equally about other humanitarian and foreign policy issues as much as Gaza, Gaza is the only foreign policy issue in the new party's statement. Amazing when you consider Russia, China, Iran, Yemen, Sudan, etc. A core member of the party said Gaza would be 'central' to their platform. Its pure populism, left cheek of the same arse as Tommy Robinson et al.

At the point they have to pay, will there be as much interest? No.

It’s a silly idea that will just take votes from left wing voters and divert them away from Labour (and the Green Party).

I’m sure the Tories will be very grateful come election time. They thought they were the ones with a problem from Reform but now Labour have the same problem.

If You Party ( or whatever they call it) is even relevant by then.
