Of course far fewer people try to deny the starvation in Syria or Yemen. Because it is proven as a fact. Starvation in Gaza? I’m yet to see credible, unbiased proof. In fact more and more people doubt it.

I do complain about the starving children elsewhere but at least there are far fewer people trying to justify or deny their starvation

It’s interesting I never see a starving Hamas soldier. They are all muscly, full of energy for fighting, shouting, punching, stomping around and all the drama. So they either eat all the food from the children they are supposed to protect (nasty and greedy) or nobody is starving in Gaza, and they just use it as a weapon to make Israel look bad.
The “women and children” propaganda is always used heavily to play on the soft heart of woke liberal Westerners.
Why don’t people complain about the starving children of Yemen and Syria? Because they don’t give a shiiiiiit! Their charity is somehow selective.

I’d agree I think it’s really important to consider the wider situation. I get that the photos are shocking (and beautifully shot) and I want the conflict to end. I want all the conflicts to end, can you imagine what humanity would be capable of if we actually worked together rather than a series of conflicts where some people get very rich and lots of people suffer.

I don’t think Hamas cares about civilians they are a human shield and can be used, starved and disposed of as necessary. Within the region this is not new or shocking. People and especially children suffering and dying from acute malnutrition is not new or shocking. The rates of children in Sudan suffering from acute malnutrition is about double that of the Palestinian based on information coming from the UN.

I do hope people consider why we are being fed information about this conflict and to what end. I don’t think knee jerk reactions to public opinions seem to make for good long term decision making. However that seems to be increasingly the way the western world is going.

Imagine if people had started agonising about Hitler and his supporters not having enough lunch in 1943.

Hamas need to return the captives and they need to stop taking the food and medicine off women and children.

Three things from me.

1. Egypt and Jordan have both previously had their fingers burnt when allowing Palestinians into their countries.

2. The suffering of the children is horrific. But I was watching the BBC last night, a man holding a clearly very unwell child, it was shocking. But it was also noticeable that he himself looked well fed and well groomed. Much of the footage we are seeing of clearly hungry people has well fed men in the background. And this is in stories emphasising the plight of women and children, not stories trying to refute it. Why? Who are these men? Why don’t these men put women and children first?

3. I can’t think of anything worse than having a baby in Gaza at the moment, it must be horrific and my heart breaks for the women and children. But any baby born now has been conceived in these conditions. Why are men still impregnating women in this situation? It’s wicked IMO. Why is this never discussed?

My own observation is that there is a substantial group of Palestinian men who really don’t care about women and children. Their spending on tunnels and weapons shows this (how come they still have loads of weapons if they’ve run out of food - priorities?). Their initial attack showed this, their refusal to release the hostages shows this, their lack of care of their own women and children shows this. How can we expect Israel to tolerate these people (men). I feel very sorry for ordinary people whose future has been wrecked largely by their own government.

Good job I'm not at all perturbed by those people's opinions. I will stand by what I have the right to say.

I don't care either about the religion of those killed or murdered. However, as this board , primarily contains reference to the plight of one religion, to the exclusion of the other, I like to provide balance.

You haven’t debunked shit. Children are being killed. I don’t care what religion they are. They are children and shouldn’t be killed while trying to wait in a line for food, at a concert or trying to sleep in a tent.

I saw a child on the news last night who was starving....they also had an underlying medical condition. Like I said, terrible. But we have been told for months and months that Gaza is on the brink of a famine..always on the brink....now I have no doubt there's not enough food. But months and months turning into years and not a single starving adult shown on any media that I've seen?

At the end of 2023 we were told they were hours away from running out of water...it's mid 2025 now...

Happens regularly where? IDF and Hamas are in conflict and fatalities for both will be reported and compared to ascertain who has the upper hand. That is not the same as what you were doing

The starving children I've seen on the news have had underlying medical conditions.
How do you know that? and even if they are it shows the most vulnerable are dying and unless there is urgent action more will follow.
