IN 2018 Palestinians trapped in Gaza began a protest movement at the frontier with Israel that was intended to last six weeks.

Men, women and children demanded recognition of the right of Palestinian refugees in Gaza and elsewhere to return to their ancestral homes in Israel and for an end to a punishing blockade that has made life unliveable.
Israeli snipers fired live ammunition, killing and maiming dozens. This lethal response on 30 March 2018 triggered anger and disbelief across the world but has not stopped.

A year later, the rallies continue. Thousands have bullet wounds through their legs. The streets of Gaza are filled with people limping or in wheelchairs. Children, journalists and medics have been killed, even when they were standing far back from the fence. The UN has said Israel’s military may have committed war crimes, deliberately targeting civilians.

Netanyahu's actions will not result in peace or security for Israel.

His current actions cause death and destruction. He's nurturing and arming tomorrow's threat to Israel. 7th October happened on his watch.

He doesn't give a shit about Israelis and he certainly doesn't give a shit about anyone else. Some men just want to see the world burn. Netenyahu is one of them.

What happens to Gaza in the future will demonstrate whether or not my observations are correct. We shall see.

Sympathy for killing tens of thousands of Palestinians, including women and children, reducing most of Gaza to rubble, plans to place Gazans in 'camps' (not holiday camps presumably), shooting people lining up for water and food, shooting people in the water, bombing churches, bombing hospitals etc. Being condemned by the UN and countless aid agencies.

Well it was also your "observation" that 7/10 created an "opportunity" for Israel so I think we can safely say that you see Israel through a lens where they will never get your sympathy for anything.

Can you imagine the outrage and condemnation if Israel had carried out preemptive operations to disable Hamas from carrying out an act of war like Oct 7th?

Of course the intelligence that an attack was being planned would have been dismissed as lies and an excuse to genocide Palestinians and ethnically cleanse Gaza, war crimes, crimes against humanity, dehumanisation of Hamas, etc, etc.

Lest we forget the type of people Israel is defending itself against.

This the kind of disingenuous crap from pro-Palestinians that completely shows them up for what they are IMO.

They try to argue that the Palestinians knowingly electing a terrorist organisation with a charter to wipe out Israel and kill Jews (with most of the other votes going to another terrorist organisation), who had a history carrying out terrorist attacks including suicide bombings, mass shootings stabbings and using women and children for their activities, openly training and indoctrinating generations of kids to hate and kill Jews and blame Jews for all their problems right under the nose of the UN, WAS NOT A SECURITY RISK for Israel and they had no need to implement measures to protect their citizens.

Oct 7th would have been a regular occurrence if they hadn’t as the Palestinians have now proved.

Albanese has been drawing attention to concerns about Israeli actions towards the Palestinians in the occupied territories for quite some time.

I don’t think any one of would have imagined the extent of devastation that has been wrought on Gaza.

I think this is exactly what has happened, and it’s not stopping either as Israel are trying to convince US to allow them to “encourage” Palestinians to leave Gaza. Fortunately Witkoff and US not keen to continue the ethnic cleansing of Gaza.

Albanese certainly has her work cut out for her. The world and Palestinians need her to continue shining the spotlight on violations against Palestinians.

Might have been something to do with the constant rocket fire and terroristic shenanigans from hamasniks, at a guess. 7/10 showed the world what they would do when they had the chance.

Mind you we've seen what extremists are capable of throughout the middle east in recent years. Syria's going through some challenging times on it's path to (hopefully) stabilisation, though it's various minorities could do with some UN representation - what are the chances?

The writer of that article neglected to mention a very important fact, that Goldstone retracted the allegation in his report that Israel deliberately targets civilians. Rather removed all credibility of the point he was trying to make.
