TBF you could get into trouble taking pictures of the wrong thing even in Egypt 30 years ago and they didn't have as big a security problem then as they do now. International journalists aren't allowed into Gaza

When Simon Reeves went in (pre 7/10) he was only allowed to film certain narratives (and definitely not hamas or the pij frat house). That's what has been reported in the past by other journalists not under hamas control.
You can still find it on i-player.
Contrast the life of Gazans to their hamas honchos in Qatar. Question why they needed to make bricks out of waste when there was plenty of concrete for tunnels.
I doubt you'd see anything as apocalyptic as Michael Burke's report if the hostage release scenes are anything to go by...unless hamas wanted you to.

Of course we would know better what was happening in Gaza if international journalists were allowed into Gaza to see for themselves.....

Each one of those 60+ Gazans is a person.

Well if Sir Bob finds a way for me to give my money to all those kids on the Gaza strip who are currently starving and being shot at, then I will gladly donate.

(I am also sad about the hostages and don't support hamas, just for the record.)

I liked Geldofs book Is That It. Very evocative of my own childhood in the same place . Except he went to Holy Ghost Fathers , Blackrock. Very serious money. Ok not his fault. But I don't think he has a Scooby how the plebs live . Never has.

Michael Burke's report had astonishing repercussions, great things were achieved.

I watched the Live Aid retrospective with nostalgia but was disappointed how shallow Bono was, so preoccupied with his hair and performance. Younger me watched him at Live Aid and thought he was adorable, developed an insta-crush and bought every album.😂😂

You're being duped because you're reacting in exactly the way Hamas wanted you to. Why are so many women and children killed? Hamas deliberately puts them in harm's way. They know that will create the emotional outrage. Israel acted the same way they were also meant to - to then become hate targets, for people who knew nothing of the conflict before 7/10. Hamas don't want peace, they seek obliteration of Israel. When will that sink in?

I do believe the above from what I have read and seen in the press and on Google Maps, but please tell me if I am mistaken.

Perhaps you agree with all above, but you think it has all been necessary? If it is the latter, having an opinion that may this not have been proportionate is not the same as being duped.
