I remember hearing that Allah is just Arabic for God! Arabic speaking Christians wouldn't be referring to the same Allah as Muslims in that case.

I wonder if it's because most Christians in Palestine are Catholic or Orthodox? There is a error in some of the more fundamentalist Protestant denominations that we Catholics are not true Christians, and I have even been accused by some of them (online-surprise, surprise!) of being a pagan because I "worship" Mary as a goddess and "worship" idols because we have holy artwork in our churches and homes. This error has become quite common in some of these denominations because of a book written by a man called Hislop, can't remember his first name. It's an extremely anti-Catholic manuscript by all accounts.
As the Orthodox also venerate Mary, honour the saints and have holy artwork I imagine the same false accusations are thrown at them as well ?!

I think that has been rumbling on in the background for quite some time. People have claimed that Bibi is prolonging the war so that he can keep his own sorry arse out of jail on the corruption charges he’s facing. Personally, if I was an Israeli, I would expect better.

Well Netenyahu is getting away with war crimes so failing to enact law and order where the victims are Palestinian Christians is a walk in the park.

It’s a fair point to say it’s possible that some on these boards could silently support the Settlers but I’ve not seen it expressed. Most of us are based in the UK as MN is a UK site and we have expressed that we do not support the settlers.

Saying “the illegal settlements in the West Bank have to go” is something we all either agree with or won’t dispute so either way it seems pointless for people to keep saying it on MN ( maybe on other sites it’s different).

The sooner the settlers are put back in their box by a moderate Israeli government the better.
Indefensible attack. Palestinian Christians are a part of the rich culture of the area- theres no justification for this.

You might say everyone on this board agrees that the settlements have to go. I disagree. I’m sure in light of the fact that 82% of Israelis, in Israel think that Palestinians in the Gaza strip should go, then that would be a highly unlikely sentiment felt by EVERYONE on this board.
