Qatari airspace closed

I have friends in Qatar who received shelter in place notices from the US embassy earlier, then repeated by the UK Foreign Office. Schools are shut tomorrow and they’ve just closed the airspace. Pretty worried now.

Iran have set 6 missiles to the USA base only

Iran have said, Qatar is a friendly brother
Not attacking Qatar and no residents of Qatar are targets

But Qatar has said ‘Violation of sovereignty’

They cancelled a ton of flights from UK to Dubai yesterday. There was definitely some sort of prior warning

Iran may see it as an attack on the US rather than Qatar if they plan to only attack the airbase?

Hoping, maybe very naively, that’s it’s just a threat.

Guessing there’s intelligence that the us base may be a target. Was really hoping Iran might not retaliate but then that’s quite naive I guess!
