People on the Madleen to be deported, awaiting court.

Seems some activists including G Thumberg signed to say they wanted to leave immediately and are home or on way home.

Some didn't and need to be deported to their home countries. No.idea how long court takes, assume Israel will want to.just get rid, having other more pressing matters to deal with.

Greta saying they were taken and held in the bottom of boat etc and worried for them.

What did this stunt cost in money, in court fees, to the climate in air journeys home, in wasted consular time, Sweden issued a comment on that, in talking about them rather than Gazans.

In a statement later on Monday, Hamas condemned the detention of the Madleen crew, calling it a "flagrant violation of international law".

They've got some nerve saying that while they are holding actual hostages - some alive and some they have already murdered.

There are actual hostages in Gaza and actual civilians suffering while the world's attention is on these brats with their self inflicted grievances. Its an obscenity.

Meanwhile, missile(s) launched at Israel overnight from Yemam. The Houthis again. They were the ones turning international boats around before.

Yes, that makes zero sense when Israel are desperately wanting them gone, yet they refuse to leave, to the point they have to be formally deported. That’s not kidnapping.

As for the boat, maybe be they will do similar to where I’m from does when boats come illegally, they get the people off, then they burn them on the ocean. Solves the problem of them being used again for the same purpose.

I'll imagine they'll deport them ASAP. Maybe compensation claims for hurt feelings?

What a waste of money in legal fees. Who pays? Could be spent on more productive things.

I don't know. Perhaps they should move it back to where it was then and it could be collected by owners? As long as they don't just sail it straight into a conflict zone as the people on board were attempting to do.

I'm curious as how you can refuse to leave then say you have been kidnapped. If the kidnapped individuals from.the Kibbutz and the festival were offered the chance to leave Gaza they'd be very happy to go.

"Speaking to reporters at Charles de Gaulle airport, Thunberg said Israel had committed "an illegal act by kidnapping us on international waters and against our will, bringing us to Israel, keeping us in the bottom of the boat, not letting us getting out and so on".

"Asked why she was free while others were still detained, Thunberg said it was "a bit unclear". She said she and some others had signed a document saying they wanted to go back as soon as they could, but did not accept they had entered the country illegally, but others hadn't signed this document.

She added she had been unable to say goodbye to fellow activists before her deportation, and was unsure what was happening to them. "I'm very worried about them," she said.

France's Foreign Minister, Jean-Noel Barrot, earlier wrote on X: "Our consul was able to see the six French nationals arrested by the Israeli authorities last night."

"One of them has agreed to leave voluntarily and should return today. The other five will be subject to forced deportation proceedings."
