What is H@maa - I assume you mean Hamas...why don't you type what you mean? What's with the @?

It is jist that i do not like to type their name. They represent a disgusting, oppressive, violent death cult. They hate Jews, anyone they class as infidels, women, all LGBTQIA+ , use women and children as human shields instead of protecting them, and their leaders don't even live in Gaza, whilst making thei gazan people suffer. I'd rather not type their name- persoal choice.

So, you admit you've never been there. I guess you are getting your information from the MSM who continually spout lies as H@maa mouthpieces. These news reports are having to be corrected and withdrawn almost daily as false.

I really urge you to seek out alternative sources- or speak to those actually living there. Many Palestinian people live and work in Israel and do so successfully.

I assure you, it really is not how it appears on the British MSM who seem to have taken a very one sided and biased view.

All that the vast majority of Israelis want is to live in peace with their neighbours.

However, this really is a separate issue to what the title of this thread is about...and that is how the diaspora Jews are being attacked under the banner of 'free Palestine ' 😞

I have indeed never been to Israel, but that's not what I meant by apartheid. I said the Palestinians are kept in a state of apartheid - they are deprived of their own statehood and autonomy, yet kept apart from the state of their occupiers and not given equality within that state either.

"And who is responsible for the intractably deep division that brought this situation into being in the first place? The Zionists who came up with the idea of Israel? The British who sponsored them? The UN who made it happen? The Israelis for going above and beyond and colonising territory in 1967 that wasn't intended for them even according to the partition plan? I don't know, but it's certainly not the Palestinians, who had a perfectly well functioning homeland until someone thought it would be a great idea to come along and kick them out of most of it."

They didn't have a state, there was no state called Palestine, just as there was no Israel. People didn't refer to themselves as Palestinian, they were various people living in the area. Therefore the original proposal was for an Arab and a Jewish state.

Maybe if they accepted a 2 state solution at the beginning instead of not wanting Israel to exist then it might have worked.

Imagine both people's having their own state.

Other countries during those years have changed borders, names, etc but the wish to wipe out Israel dominated rather the wish to have a life so much better for the Arabs living in the area.

So it's only shouted at jews, except when it isn't.

And you know that how?

Yeah I'm always reading stories about catholics being shot and set on fire and the attackers shouting "free palestine". Businesses owned by Catholics are being boycotted, smashed up and defaced with pro hamas graffiti. Lots of plots to attack worshippers at Catholic churches and students at schools too.

Wait no, thats jews and jewish places of business, worship and education. These are the only places being targeted by pro Palestine activists and you know it.

Outside of rallies, when shouted at people, it's only shouted at Jews.

It is clear to me you have never visited Israel. The apartheid you speak of does not exist. Signs are written in Hebrew, Arabic and English. There are Arab Muslim doctors, lawyers, judiciary working alongside Jews. The Arab Muslims have equal access to healthcare, education, working rights. Also, israel holds two Pride celebrations each year.

I hope one day you will see for yourself.

It isn't. It's chanted on marches and rallies all over the place, by large groups of people addressing everyone and noone in particular. What a ridiculous idea.

If Free Palestine isn't antisemitic, why is it only shouted at Jews?

This thread is specifically asking about fear from those who chants death slogans at Jews. It is about the murdering of innocent Jews in the diaspora as a result of these slogans

Jews only have israel. The Holocaust would not have happened if Jews had their own state - just as all other religions do.

Christians, Muslims have many countries that are theirs. Why are you deflecting?

So that’s a no then?

Perhaps if your forebears always taught you to keep cash under the bed, your passport up to date, and a plan of how to escape, maybe then you'd understand what one jewish state in the world is important.

Honestly, how can anyone understand if they are not actually jewish? And how can anyone have the gall to tell jewish people how to react to what is happening in the world?

When any other minority says how it is, I believe them. Why not believe the Jews?

People's memories are painfully short.

Do you believe the Palestinian minority?

Badh · 03/06/2025 22:02

But many of us have ancestors who have suffered under the boot of others. Many ethnic groups and races have experienced horrific injustices. It doesn’t give anyone a god given right to their own state. I’m not saying that Isreal shouldn’t exist. Isreal should exists because it does already exists and most of the people who live their were born their and they have as much right to be there as anyone else. But it has nothing to do with their religion. I don’t believe they or anyone else has divine rights to certain land.

Discriminating laws like the nation state law show that Arab Muslims do not have the same rights either. A country should be for the good of all of its citizens.

Palestinians too have a right to their own state. Coexistence is the only answer really.

Unfortunately to most average people, Hamas, who carried out the horror of October 7th, represents the Palestinian people. So "Free Palestine" means Hamas, who are dedicated to the eradication of Jews. Most people aren't going to be giving much more deep thought than that. You can see why most people find it scary.

Mohammed Sabry Soliman, 45, who is charged with a federal hate crime as well as state charges of attempted murder, assault and use of an explosive device, made a brief appearance in court on Monday.

Officials say the Egyptian national targeted a group of pro-Israel protesters at an outdoor mall in Boulder and shouted "Free Palestine" as he threw incendiary devices, injuring eight of them.

At least 16 unlit Molotov cocktails were found nearby afterwards. Investigators say he targeted the group after finding them online.

I don't understand how he thinks targeting Jews in the US (where this individual claimed asylum) helps Palestinian people.

NotABottie · 03/06/2025 10:33

Good grief!

Blind hatred of Jews really makes people lose brain capacity is all I have to say.

Also pogroms existed in Palestine and the Middle East before the existence of modern Israel.

Not to a significant extent, they didn't. Up until the end of the 19th century arab and jew lived pretty well together across the middle east. Certainly in the 1920s, in Palestine, there was the start of arab mobs attacking jewish homes and jewish mobs attacking arab homes, but prior to the influx of Jews from Europe, life for Jews in arab lands was far, far better than life elsewhere. .

This is a bit of an oversimplification. There was formal discrimination. The best summary is that it was never as bad for Jews in Muslim countries as it was in Christian ones, but not as good either (post-emancipation in western and Central Europe).

there’s something of a revisionist trend to suggest it was either all miserable, or all harmonious. It was neither. The situation of Jews varied according to the temperament of whoever was ruling at the time. This is why the Rambam (Moses Maimonides) left Spain for Egypt, for example.
