How can you tell when Hamas has been eliminated ?

It's Israel's aim to eliminate Hamas.
What is the Israeli definition of the word eliminate ?
How will they know when they've achieved it ?

Guessing that would be when both Hamas and all Hamas supporters in the joint territory are eliminated. Hamas have only been as successful as they have been due to support of the people, without that they would not be in the position they are in. That goes for absolutely every terrorist organisation, it’s not specific to Hamas, without supporters they don’t exist.

When was the last time a rocket was fired into Israel from Gaza?
I have read it’s not been for some time - beginning of April? About 2 months ago?

Of course I'm not privy to Israeli Government discussions, if I were, I wouldn't come on Mumsnet and ask those questions, cos I'd already know the answers to them.

Yes a pretty pointless contribution. Everything on these threads is opinion and speculation, weird that certain topics just enlisit deflection or maybe some posters aren't willing to face the reality of what they support.

In my opinion Israel won't know when they've eliminated Hamas and have no idea how to, but will keep going regardless because every Palestinian is a potential terrorist don't you know
