Just sharing the information I read about why the IDF targeted it because it appears that some of the theories being discussed were wrong.

Are you completely lacking in empathy? Hamas carried out a heartbreaking and disgusting act of terror. That's not up for debate. Their actions were absolutely indefensible.

But Palestinian civilians, especially children, are not culpable for the actions of their corrupt government. How do you propose that normal people, let alone little children, go about freeing hostages?

If you are ok with Israel 'paying them back' by indiscriminately killing and starving powerless civilians, then there is something fundamentally wrong with you.

Would it be ok if thousands of innocent Israeli children were bombed to 'pay back' the Israeli government?

I'm not going to post or link scenes of the aftermath, it was one of the most horrifying scenes i have seen in this terrible war.

I believe there has been backlash after the strike that killed so many innocent people that the IDF are now 'reviewing' it.

It is possible that a Hamas member was there, I'm not disputing that possibility. However, I don't believe striking the cafe filled with families including young children to take out one Hamas member is justified. There was dozens of deaths and injuries.

Maybe I have some preconceived ideas but no more than pro Palestinian people who have often expressed that pro Israel people lack empathy, lack compassion, lack humanity etc.

Most of us have equally said that we feel sorry for all innocent civilians caught up in the war including Palestinian civilians but assumptions seem to be made that these thoughts are not genuine.

Well I certainly expressed it and saw others too. Just because you didn't see it doesn't mean it wasn't there. Not sure why you have an assumption that posters don't care for Israeli lives? You obviously have some preconceived ideas about people which is blurring your judgement

I did read the letter when it was published but I haven't seen any response to it.

Tuesday's joint statement from some of the world's biggest charities says the foundation is violating all norms of humanitarian work, including by forcing two million people into overcrowded and militarized zones where they face daily gunfire.

"Today, Palestinians in Gaza face an impossible choice: starve or risk being shot while trying desperately to reach food to feed their families," the statement says.
"Orphaned children and caregivers are among the dead, with children harmed in over half of the attacks on civilians at these sites."

This is somber reading. 130 charities have called for an end to the inhumane GHF system. They only operate under four sites; three in the south and one in central Gaza. Previously there used to be 400 sites throughout Gaza.

Since the new system started in May, more than 500 people have been killed and more than 4,000 injured.

No I didn’t see any genuine empathy when Israeli citizens got killed tbh.

Hasham Mansour was his name, the son of a former Hamas military commander already killed by the IDF ( reported in Israeli sources & the Telegraph).

They targeted it because they had intelligence the son of a Hamas leader was there and they killed him.

Still no shots fired at the IDF during these incidences just shooting random unarmed people.

To be honest that one is wearing so thin now it’s impossible to believe anymore. There’s never been any proof to substantiate it either.

The war in Gaza has been allowed to become one of the most egregious, deadly and ruthless wars waged on a people. Gaza’s homes, hospitals, markets, water networks, roads, and power grids have all been demolished by Israeli forces, not by disregard but by design. What we are witnessing is the calculated evisceration of the very systems that sustain life. It is ethnic cleansing, wrapped in the rhetoric of security defence, but executed with complete disregard for International Humanitarian and Human Rights Laws.

Daily atrocities in Gaza are not unfolding in the shadows. They are occurring before our eyes. They are brazen in their brutality.
For more than 20 months, Israeli authorities and forces have inflicted a punishing campaign against Palestinians in Gaza. On a daily basis Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) teams witness patterns consistent with genocide through deliberate actions by Israeli forces – including mass killings, the destruction of vital civilian infrastructure, and blockades choking off access to food, water, medicines, and other essential humanitarian supplies. Israel is systematically destroying the conditions necessary for Palestinian life.

Over 90,000 women and children in Gaza are in dire need of treatment for malnutrition. This is the direct impact of the blockade, aswell as the failed GHF system that does not cater for the whole population of Gaza.

And has resulted in the deaths of hundreds of Palestinians that it does cater for, as they are routinely shot and killed by the IDF whilst trying to reach the GHF aid centres.

Yesterday the IDF ordered over a 150,000 people to evacuate at a moments notice. From the north and central Gaza to head south. The south is already over crowded from the residents there aswell as others who have previously evacuated there. These orders are not only unreasonable but inhumane.

Roughly 150,000 people are impacted by yesterday’s IDF evacuation order alone, including families staying at dozens of shelters for already displaced civilians, UN spokesperson Stephane Dujarric says during a briefing.
“People are being pushed into overcrowded areas where thousands of others are already staying. These spaces lack shelter, they lack water and they lack sewage systems, not to mention medical facilities,” he says.
