Adham speaks to the camera:
Earlier this year, we spoke to people returning to their homes in northern Gaza during the ceasefire. Among them was 31-year-old graphic designer Adham al-Batrawi.

He went back to the once affluent city of al-Zahra and was living in and around the remains of his family’s villa, lighting fires to cook and keep warm.

“I was excited to return but then I saw the house - half of it was destroyed. I got sad,” he said at the time.

The family hoped to rebuild, but once the ceasefire ended, it became too dangerous to stay, so they fled again.

“This was the seventh time of being evacuated. Maybe even more. I’ve lost count,” he tells me by video message from a displacement camp in central Gaza.

“With each displacement life becomes more tragic than before. We really hope it will be soon because we simply don’t have the energy left to survive another displacement.”

Today, he says life is “very difficult” – there’s “no fuel, no food and no income, and if anything is available it is extremely expensive”.

This needs to be remembered for ever, children will need to be taught about it in school. Not just about the horror Israel has subjected the Palestinians to, but also about how so many Countries were complicit in the Genocide and ethnic cleansing.

It's incredibly sad. I read that 6 entire families were killed in the past 24hrs, homes full of children bombed, roads destroyed to prevent access by rescuers. Unfortunately I believe that poor man is mostly correct at this point. Israel haven't been shy about their plans for them.

I don't think anyone seriously believes there is no starvation in Gaza, no.

I just don't think Trump's involvement is likely to help the crisis as people like @wavingfuriously seem to be suggesting.

The BBC have a live feed running right now with testimonies from survivors of last nights slaughter. People watched entire residential buildings being flattened with friends and families killed from the weight of the rubble

The unnamed man tells BBC Arabic that Israel "bombed the house while my sister and her husband were inside,” adding that his sister was “five months pregnant".
"There seems to be no solution to our crisis," he says. "We're all just waiting for our turn to die."

I despise Trump and I'm sure most people on here know that, my point is that when someone as pro-Israel as Trump can even acknowledge this, then where does that leave Israeli leaders? Do they seriously think that people believe them when they still insist to the media that there isn't any starvation in Gaza?

They can’t acknowledge it because to acknowledge it is to confess to using starvation as a weapon.

At the least he acknowledged that the Palestinians are starving, something which the Israeli government can't seem to do, despite them being the ones who are enforcing the starvation by blocking aid and imposing a seige.

Trump's involvement will not be helpful to anyone but himself.

It's quite an achievement that Netanyahu can make the clown in the white House look slightly empathetic. Even most Israelis have lost hope in him now. I think he's actually lost his mind and no one around him can make him see any sense of how dangerous his actions are for Israel in the public sphere.

@Igotjelly I know from your posts that you are quite measured in your view of the conflict so it speaks alot when even posters like yourself can say that it is a genocide now and can not be supported in anyway.

You know it's really bad when even Trump has finally admitted that Gazans are starving whilst the Israeli foreign minister still insists they aren't.

Trump has also said he doesn't think Netanyahu will make a deal and there's talks Hamas are now negotiating directly with the US which has probably angered Israel even more. The days after the American Israeli hostage was released have been some of the most lethal since the start of the war.

At the beginning of this iteration of the conflict I tried hard to understand why Israel was taking the action that it was. I understand the massacre that was 07 Oct and why they wanted revenge. Hamas are terrorists and I have no sympathy for them.

I absolutely cannot condone what has happened since however. They are massacring civilians at an industrial scale and using starvation as a weapon of war. I struggle to see how much worse it would need to be to be called out as genocide.

I feel for those Israelis living under the current genocidal regime who don’t condone what’s happening to innocents. History will condemn Netanyahu and his cronies as war criminals, of that I have no doubt.

It's a genocide pure and simple.

So the IDF has stated Hamas terrorists [Mohammed Sinwar?] were in an underground command and control centre under the hospital but their aeriel video with graphics - used to supposedly show people the underground systems revealed by their bombing - was not of the hospital at all but a nearby school with the area looking undamaged, and the dark lines they said showed "underground terrorist infrastructure site revealed following the strike" were drainage ditches which were visible well before this bombing attack.

Meanwhile, far from being underground, they also bombed some upper floors of the hospital where apparently another target, [Mohammed Sinwar ?] was.

They lie, obfuscate or mislead as much as Putin does.
