It's started already on social media. There's always a pause of a few hours, maybe a day or so, after Hamas does something particularly awful, and you dare to hope that people are finally waking up. But then the usual accounts start spewing a new party line of lies and fact twisting, and that gets amplified, and suddenly the same lines get regurgitated by posters on here. It's the same cycle every time.

I also wonder how they were treated in the weeks between their kidnapping and their murders.

Hamas really knew their value as the most symbolic hostages. They really needed a way to claim that Israel's bombing had killed the most vulnerable hostages. The whole locked, keyless coffin scenario and 'Ooh, they died in an airstrike and we got the bodies mixed up' charade was just an attempt to further the pretence. The only comfort is in making sure their story is told and in honouring their families request that there is no vengeance. I trust they will have known Shiri would not have wanted vengeance. But she would surely have wanted truth.

The little children were beaten and strangled to death, by people worse than animals. There is forensic evidence to back this up.
