Last functioning hospital in Northern Gaza is stormed by the IDF

I saw footage on the news just now of what looked like thousands of Gazans desperately jostling trying to access food from a soup kitchen. It was really upsetting to see.

Of course there's a black market and terrible things are happening. This is what happens when a large population is subjected to genocide and their society is destroyed.

It's Israels responsibility to make sure that aid reaches civillians in territory that they choose to occupy.

Ukraine for instance are making sure that they give aid to the civillians in the Kursk region because they recognise that that is their responsibility under International law. If you choose to occupy then you have to follow through on your obligations to the civillians in those areas. There is no 'but Hamas 😭', Israel are occupying Gaza so the buck stops with them.

Of course Hamas are part of the problem but Israel choose to occupy the same place that Hamas terrorists live so Israel have to deal with that whilst looking after the civillians. Civillians starving and babies freezing to death isn't okay and Israel need to start taking their responsibility as occupiers seriously. Like Zelenskyy said Ukraine are 'behaving like humans' and that means humanitarian needs in occupied areas must be met.

Don't think anyone felt that Hamas are not part of the problem.

Lawlessness has also become an issue with the distribution of aid and it is another threat to the safety of civilians as Hamas loses its grip. The lack of aid for over 12 months leads to lawlessness and desperation and a breakdown of society. Gaza is hell on earth.

About one-third of all aid is also believed to be stolen by armed gangs who resell it at extortionate prices, according to the UN.

Indeed. The UK also went along with Israeli efforts to destroy UNWRA last year by halting funding for six or seven months.

Let's not forget that aid is not allowed to go through or, if allowed , it isn't near enough.
I agree with you that the only way to stop this is to stop selling arms to Israel and impose sanctions.

Its good to know about the money being sent to UNWRA for urgently needed medical care

They can send as much money they want to Palestine if they keep sending arms/parts of weapons to Israel that are used to kill innocent civilians the war will never end. It’d be best if they stop sending arms initially

The UK is also sending money to support UNRWA.

Yes, all their lives matter.

The doctors are particularly at risk as they are credible witnesses, and also the keepers of Palestinian medical infrastructure and the Palestinian’s future wellbeing. When they are detained, or killed, and hospitals closed down that leaves a particular vacuum.

Whether they are a doctor or an unemployed itinerant, terrorist or innocent civilian- I think it is unacceptable for anyone ( innocent or guilty) to be tortured, mistreated ,humiliated or to die from abuse while detained or to be denied a fair trial.

As absolutely horrific the stories of the innocent men from Northern Ireland were, knowing the torture he is probably enduring in Sde Teiman would make you fear for such a brave man.
