Hamas don’t want peace

A two day ceasefire was offered to them in return for four hostages but they declined. Antony Blinken, the US secretary of state, said Hamas “once again refused to release even a limited number of hostages to secure a ceasefire and relief for the people of Gaza”.
Isreal has now offered a million dollars for each hostage and safe passage out of Gaza for their captors. Hamas have yet to respond.

Hamas don't want peace (and have never experienced it in their life times thanks to Israel). The Israeli government do not want peace for Gaza's civilians. Do you think Gaza's civilians deserve peace OP?

Going back to your original point that Israel hasn't had peace.. everyone deserves peace whether you're Israeli or Palestinian but let's not forget that Israel (with the support of the West) has caused death and destruction for over 70 years to the Palestinians. Maybe if Israel allows Palestinians to have a right to their own water, aid and food, Israel will see peace too?

Oh I have no issue with Jews wanting their own country. Good on em. Though not sure why.. given they were living in peace with Muslims and Christians before in one country. I think that is so much better for humanity to live in peace with one another. The way Zionists created Israel (expelling Palestinians and killing them) I have an issue with!

Most Israelis still would be happy to live in harmony had Hamas stopped bombing and taking hostages!!

Yes I meant in general...I wasn't specifically referring to you.

But I have heard several times that some people believe that all Zionists must support the settlers for example or believe in a one state solution...as well as other forms of extremism. Then this is used to demonise us all and create this rhetoric that Zionism is inherently evil.

Yes, I agree, neither side want peace. Hamas want the eradication of Israel and Israel want the eradication of Palestinians and a greater Israel .
With Donald Trump now in power Israel may get what they want. If this happens and Palestinians are completely evicted from Gaza and the West Bank, I do hope that in a generation there will be peace and no more killing, sadly I doubt it though.

Hamas are Islamic terrorists. They are fundamentalists who went into Israel a year ago and raped and murdered. Those murders included beheading babies. There is footage of Hamas terrorists shooting two unarmed Jewish women who were cowering behind a desk.

Those are facts. I've yet to see those posting in support of Hamas produce evidence that they are all poor beleaguered orphans. In fact @lucyshoebeck that is simply bullshit. Indeed within days of the attacks on Israel a Hamas terrorist cell phone was recovered. It showed he had sent messages to his mother crowing about how many Jews he had murdered. Not much of an orphan then.

I fully support Israel's right to self determination. Jews have been in the middle East for centuries. They deserve their homeland. The public support of a murderous terrorist proscribed group like Hamas on this forum show why.

Make no mistake if Hamas were in charge here our lives would not be worth living. As women, our rights and freedoms are anathema to them. No woman should be supporting them. They are monsters.

Have you seen many posts “in support of Hamas”? I certainly haven’t.

i certainly haven’t met ot spoken with anyone who supports Hamas. But I know a lot of people who are horrified by what Israel is doing and who know it is wrong. That doesn’t make them anti-semitic Hamas supporters!

I didn’t think there was anyone gullible or ignorant enough to genuinely believe Israel has any interest in peace. They want to continue their genocide until there’s no Palestinians left. It’s not worth it to them, the hostages are worth more to Hamas, besides which obvs the Israelis can’t be trusted and will continue on with their ethnic cleansing.
That wasn’t a genuine ‘peace’ offer at all.
