Six Al Jazeera journalists are Hamas/PIJ

Israel’s army has released fabricated dossiers framing us, the last remaining journalists in North Gaza reporting on Israel’s extermination and ethnic-cleansing campaign, as “terrorists”.

This blatant and belligerent attempt to transform us, the last witnesses in the north, into killable targets is an assassination threat and obvious attempt to preemptively justify our murder.

We would like to remind everyone that after murdering our colleague Ismail Al Ghoul, Israel released a document that claimed he supposedly received a military ranking on July 1, 2007, when he would have been a 10 year old child.

This public threat was made without any evidence and is part of a systematic propaganda campaign to justify the unjustifiable as Israel continues to target civilians in Gaza, including doctors, aid workers, children and us journalists.

We call on our colleagues and media institutions around the world to show their solidarity with us.

Despite these dangerous and untrue threats made against us, we remain committed to our profession and will continue to report the facts on the ground as the genocide regretfully continues unabated.

23,000 innocent people killed by the IDF. How do you define “indiscriminate”?

Look I support release of the hostages. I think it's barbaric to make innocent Israeli hostages suffer, and their families too. I think all suffering on both sides should cease immediately.

But seriously how can you say, by your own calculations, that killing 23,000 innocent Palestinian people is acceptable in response.

A genocide is being live steamed to the world. And it is very one sided. There are no international journalists reporting from Gaza as they are from Israel. Why?

I mean the IDF did also shoot their own hostages, it was discussed at the time that too many young recruits who are not trained properly shoot first and ask questions later. It's much easier for them to pass off ordinary Palestinians as Hamas.

The definition of 'combatant' can be as vague as 'Palestinian male who may have gone through puberty'...

It is indiscriminate I have no idea how you can claim otherwise.

Which is awful, but it's not the indiscriminate killing people are attributing to the IDF.

They can't believe it because in their virtuous haze, everybody Palestinian is innocent.

What virtuous haze are you under that you uncritically believe unsubstantiated reports by the IDF?

If you want me to believe Hamas's figure of 41,000 killed, you have to accept the IDF account that of those, 17,000-18,000 were combatants, so roughly 1:1 civilians to combatants, which sounds awful, but is actually very low compared to other conflicts. The ratio for WWII is somewhere between 2:1 to 3:1.

Including those who kept abducted Israelis prisoner, those who waddled and hobbled over the fence to loot houses and those who spat and jeered on the broken bodies of innocent Israelis

What about the other tens of thousands of innocent people killed. What's the ratio, 1 bad person killed for every 2,000 killed children. Probably more.

We will believe the statistics when journalists can report from Gaza. Just like they do in Israel.

Again, not true but I will give you the benefit of the doubt that you really are unaware.

I was going by memory and hastily looking for references. My bad.

I do recall being appalled when I talked to people about the atrocities of October 7th that many were already blaming Israel, the "IOF", and Netanyahu while the bodies were still lying broken and unburied where they had fallen. If you don't want to believe me just do a quick Google search on how many people were already killed through bombing on October 8th 2023 in Gaza!

A 14 day difference between dates is not a 'slight amendment' and still gives an incorrect date for the commencement of the IDF's response to October 7th (which commenced on October 7th).

The bombing started straight away! Surely you would know that? Whose been telling you these lies that there was no retaliation until October 13th?

Slight amendment, Israel began ground operations in Gaza on 13 October, still doesn't explain the march on 9 October.

That's simply not true. The IDF response to the October 7th attacks started on October 7th.

The IDF responded the same day, please check your facts before posting outright lies.
