I can’t believe babies are still dying from the cold. This is so sad.

Thank goodness the Palestinian doctor in Texas knew of her plight and arranged for his team to help. Well done to the Guardian for helping to shift the intransigence of the Israeli authorities so she would be allowed go to Texas for the operation.

But it is terrible that so many other children were prevented by Israel from getting similar help until very recently and it is still only a fraction if those who need it. Who are they to stop people leaving their own country for medical treatment after Israel has bombed their hospitals?

He was in his mother's arms when she was killed in an air strike in October 2023, along with his siblings. In hospital in Gaza, a nurse trying to cheer him up told him his mother had turned into a star.

"Since then, he looks up into the sky at night, looking for stars and talking to them," his aunt Sabah says. "He doesn't talk to other people. But I hear him saying to the stars: 'Mummy I've eaten, Mummy I'm going to sleep now.'

Thank goodness for the hospital in Jordan and the doctors and nurses there, but this about that little boy is just so sad I could not read on.

It's the IDF's modus operandi, everything is justified by "self defence" or "pre-emptive protection".

Another soldier did this recently:
"Again, this Israeli Druze soldier shared an Instagram story of himself indiscriminately shooting toward Gaza yesterday from their ceasefire zone. Trigger-happy Israeli soldiers face no consequences for their reckless actions as long as they target Palestinians in Gaza."

The blowback is already happening in Israeli society.

Two Palestinian people in Gaza were shot from a drone today because they were walking towards Israeli soldiers and putting the IDF in imminent danger the IDF said.

It seems in fact that neither of them had anything to do with putting the IDF in danger. One was trying to get to some medical assistance, the other was trying to get to his home.

Another Palestinian child intentionally shot for no reason with the soldier’s own bare hand pulling the trigger.

The article reports:
An Israeli human rights group, Yesh Din, has calculated the probability of an Israeli soldier facing prosecution for killing Palestinians to be just 0.4% – one prosecution in 219 fatalities brought to the military’s attention.

Horrific! The IDF just does what they want when they want with total impunity.

Haaretz news feed.

Far-right Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich called the decision to completely halt the flow of humanitarian aid into Gaza "an important step in the right direction. A precipice to the 'gates of hell.' Now we need to open these gates as quickly and deadly as possible onto the enemy, until complete victory." In a post on X, Smotrich said he remained in the government to ensure that this happens.

Look at that disgraceful army running amok. The man is face down in the dirt, his hands are tied behind his back, he can’t more and yet the soldiers are kicking him and one just stamped on his head.

There have been released Palestinians who have reported that there were outbreaks of scabies left untreated by the Israeli prison guards, the jails are also reported to be in an extremely unhygienic condition.
