Ali Mortada from the linked video is a Lebanese journalist who lives in South Lebanon and reports daily on the situation.

As above, considering that it took nearly a year for Israeli papers to report on the Hannibal Directive being implemented on October 7th I expect there won't be any "official" reports for while.

Hostages are also a bad memory for the IDF as they previously swapped a single IDF soldier for 1000 fighters.

Absolutely, the IDF act with impunity. They enact vengeance on civilians for the their battlefield loses. Former Swiss intelligence agent Colonel Jacques Baud recently said in an interview that "they fight with no honour" and that's shown to the world daily.

The rumours from Lebanon yesterday are that after intense battles Hezbollah were close to capturing some IDF soldiers, so Israel applied the Hannibal Directive killing their own soldiers instead of letting them be captured.

Lebanon has zero air defences. There is no operational need for Israel to bomb at 4am. The only reason they bomb in the middle of the night is to maximise civilian casualties and especially to kill as many children as possible, who would mostly be outside in waking hours.

I’m not sure he even cares about them, he only appears to care when it helps himself. It’s still difficult to accept that people would vote for someone who so clearly couldn’t give a rats backside about their wellbeing, and can’t be trusted to remotely stick to their word (policies). Perhaps it wasn’t obvious, but I’m pretty sure he doesn’t actually care about unborn children.

It's only white/rich/non-Muslim children he cares about. When it's profitable for him to do so. His own family have previously discussed the real estate values of Gaza (for Israel, not for Palestine, of course).

When will aid get to people in Northern Gaza? When will Israel turn the table on this cruelty? How supportive of this mass murder will Trump be? Is it only unborn children he cares about? And why are people so stupid.

They are doing to Lebanese children what they are doing to Gazan children. It is beyond evil.

The story of the Palestinian female doctor with new born twins who was targeted and killed with her babies by the IDF when her husband happened to be away getting their birth certificates, was written about in a thread here a few months ago.

A lot of medical workers have been IDF targets.

Notice the bored, indifferent faces in the background, not least that of Israel’s leader of its own moral demise, Netanyahu. Poor Israeli people to have him.

The scale of death of civilians in Gaza and beyond is completely unnecessary from a tactical standpoint.

Do you think that we shouldn’t care about the innocent victims of 7/10 because bad things happen in war? It is you that mentioned WW2- were the concentration camps ok because bad things happen war? Should people just turn a blind eye to the bad things that happen in war?

Your makes it sound as IDF civilians in Darfur, Sudan, Afghanistan and the Iccupied Territories and Lebanon are just dispensable. The lives of the people disposable to protect the Israelis from something that might happen in the future. You’re also assuming that none of us have worked or lived in conflict zones or that we have no background knowledge or experience.

I think everyone knows that wars are terrible.

But Gaza isn't a normal war, hence the total horror of those watching what's happening.

I'm not defending it. I'm saying wars are awful. All wars. Suddenly people finally realise this.
