I’d like to feel they take this seriously. Maybe they do a lot of work behind the scenes but in terms of conversation we seem to struggle

@Martymcfly24 I think we can safely say that Hamas has a 'lack of caring' towards its citizens. Only someone who is a Hamas supporter would think otherwise and we are assured that there are none of those.

Hamas has had access to hundreds of millions of dollars through Iran & other states as well as a vast investment portfolio. Its a wealthy organisation. On top of that huge amounts of aid. Its has chosen to spend it on vast highly sophisticated tunnel network and offensive capabilities aimed at Israel, rather than defensive protection for its citizens

I think the issue with the Palestinains is one thing. Eventually israel will need to speak with Hamas and vive versa.
However Hezbollah, Houthis, Iranian funded militias in Iraq (who are also joining in the fun) are different. They are simply an arm of the Iranian revolutionary guards who are using them to attack israel with total disregard for the populations in those countries - Iran is prepared to fight israel to the last Arab.
Israel had no dispute with iran, Iraq, Lebanon or Yemen. If they stopped attacking and threatening israel, israel would not retaliate - there is no dispute to resolve.
With hamas and the Palestinians it's far more complicated as they're stuck with each other.

I'm beginning to think this is absolutely right. Radical Islam - the jihadi kind - is a threat to Western democracy and it's time governments started recognising this. I feel sorry for the huge majority of Muslims who want nothing to do with the death cult end but I'd like to hear more voices speaking out on this and saying Not in our name.

Israeli citizen were attacked almost a year ago and that is what has caused this last year of conflict. Israel is a democratic sovereign state .

Yes I see what you're saying - however the ordinary person on the street in Palestine would be anti gay. It's not just a Hamas thing. They also voted Hamas into power. So whilst I am of course sympathetic to those who are suffering I think they knew to some extent what they were voting into power.

Yes a ceasefire is desperately needed, it is just a great shame that that is what it will take for the IDF to hopefully stop sniping little boys and girls in the head. One can only hope that that would extend to the West Bank too where there have been some high profile killings of children who have also been shot in the head by the IDF.

Well they are supporting a country which will not accept their lifestyle - gays in Palestine seem to be seeking asylum in Israel. So I don't understand why they would support a country which would tolerate them being abused over a country where they could live in peace & free from harassment?
