IDF reports Nasrallah killed in overnight strikes

Nasrallah has been the head of Hezbollah for a long time and is/was very close to Iran. That's a heck of a blow to strike on Iran if confirmed.

Israel-Lebanon latest: Israeli military says Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah killed in overnight strike on Beirut

The Israel Defense Forces say they killed Nasrallah and other Hezbollah commanders in strikes on Friday. Hezbollah is yet to comment.

Are you assuming most Shias are terrorist-supporters?! Come on, get a grip. Only terrorists and their supporters will be mourning this, civilians of any religion and ethnicity will be either celebrating or worried about what comes next but they sure as fuck won't be mourning.

You do know that Rebel held area in Syria = ISIS and whatever small groups and factions affiliated with them?a group so barbaric (beheading videos etc.) that America and Russia worked together to eliminate them.

Listening to news headlines I hear the terrorist statement including the word martyr but no mention of celebration

Their statement shouldn’t be given this credence and reaction should be news

I think it’s always good to ask why things make it to our news or not and never late in the day.

It's wonderful to see all the videos of celebration from Lebanon, Syria and Iran. Odd they don't seem to be featuring much in the British media - but presumably we'll be seeing similar on the streets of London...

In which case the region and the US need to give huge support to Lebanon right now, while Hezbollah has been weakened, to get their country back and not give the Iranian-funded Islamists a home any longer.

Instead of focussing on the fact Islamism subjugates people and frightens them into compliance with a load of misogynist, fatalistic nonsense, instead of maybe giving air time to the many people across the Middle East who would live happier lives without terrorists, and who might feel cautiously optimistic. Apparently we should all just give in to violent bullies in case we annoy them.

After what has happened in recent days in the Lebanon, it is not clear to me who are the violent bullies to whom you refer.
