Storyville BBC now Nova Music Festival

It was horrific to watch but it wasn't out of a vacuum.
It's not black and white or a left v right debate.
The attack on 7th October was horrific.
The decimation of Gaza has been horrific and effected people that had nothing to do with this.
I can see both sides and both awful. Currently Gaza is far worse.

It was so moving. I want to broadcast it so the left wing nutters who are currently supporting the far right wing islamic jihadists can see what they are actually supporting..!

That was so heartbreaking - but I am glad their suffering was short. And their memory represents all that is loving and joyful and kind.

I just saw on Instagram the Jewish Chronicle said the BBC was showing this film tonight. I hope some people that have heard of Nova but are not entirely across the details watch it and see how horrific it truly was. For people to realise - that could have been me, or that could have been my sister, brother, cousin, best friend, girlfriend, boyfriend neighbour etc. and see the humanity of these poor innocent souls.

It’s been quite sickening to see for the last 11-12 months, no one really caring about the victims of this atrocity or acknowledging the pain of the family and friends left behind.

Im not Jewish or Israeli, I just abhor antisemitism. And make no mistake, it’s not a grievance over land that’s driving those fucking animals Hamas - it’s an ideology catalysed by antisemitism. If it was the former, this bitter conflict would have been resolved decades ago.

I'm so sick of this modern “woke" paradigm that has infiltrated "progressive” circles, and that is particular prevalent on the far left: whoever is perceived to have less power, whoever is the supposed “victim” can basically get a free pass to do whatever they want (and it’s all completely artificial this false “oppressor vs oppressed” narrative that some credulous westerners buy into, the ones you see marching up and down in central London every bloody Saturday, making the Westend a no go zone for Jews). Even if you're facing the most awful circumstances there is nothing, no kind of grievance that could possibly justify the raping, the torturing, the beheading, the burning of Jews and Israelis and migrant workers and the hostage taking that occurred on Oct 7th.

The more people indulge in this bigotry of low expectations, the more you're going to encourage the Palestinian leadership and their citizens to commit heinous acts like Oct 7th, the more people (westerners) bury their heads in the sand the and ignore the actual problem - the actual problem being a hateful ideology that cannot make space for the Jewish people and their sovereignty - we’re never going to end this conflict.

As another PP upthread said: FUCK HAMAS, and the people who excuse them.

This massacre has revealed the very worst in human beings... the fascist murderers and those who celebrate or accept or excuse them... remember the triumphant pro Palestine demonstrations.. just the morning after? Days before any retaliation by Israel.
The goodness and humanity of those young people survives them...

I don't understand why all the European music festivals this summer didn't have some kind of memorial to what happened at Nova. Was it even mentioned at Glastonbury?

I feel ashamed to write this but I just don’t think I can bear to watch it. So horrific.

It was horrific. But also a reminder how resilient and kind and good young people can be . They were just having fun … and suddenly the world changed and grew dark .

I've just finished it. One of the most upsetting things I've ever watched.

I think possibly that was one of the most distressing things I’ve ever seen on TV. The terror and horror those young people experienced. It’s beyond words.

I confess I had to stop watching an hour in, so distressing. All those wonderful young people. I despair of the human race.

This is always the problem, the people that need to engage almost certainly will turn away.

Sadly, the type of person that excuses Hamas and sees only one side of this conflict will never challenge their world view by watching something like this.
