Are you seriously equating Iran’s involvement with that of “US and other nations providing military arms in this conflict”?

It is an international organization made up of 193 members. How many are antisemitic?and of those that are do they have a seat at the security council?
If the UN is as you describe why is Israel still a member?

There are many member states in the UN that are "enemies" of each other, it's easy to criticise but no one would know where we would be without it.

Global Imams Council also blames Hamas for the deaths of all innocents since 7th October 2023.
They bear responsibility of course they do but "they made me do it" is no defence, Israel are responsible for their own actions.

And says Iran has a share of responsibility too.

The UN is just all the nations (clue in name). Many are virulently antisemitic and open enemies of Israel, most notably Iran but it is not alone.

The people of Israel are protesting today because they know their government doesn’t care enough about them. Let’s not pretend this ‘war’ is being fought for the people of Israel.

That something is not easy, is not a justification for this level of human suffering.

Imagine talking about the victims of Oct 7th like this! Imagine if someone said, well Hamas had no choice because they are fighting a ruthless enemy, and it’s not easy to rally against oppression. It doesn’t wash either way does it!

Yes - war brings a complete breakdown of infrastructure and the consequence is disease and malnutrition ( as well as all the other terrible things). I blame Hamas for this conflict and for the suffering of the Palestinians . However I do think Israeli government has questions to answer and has been too ruthless in its approach.

That's great that Israelis have such high standards for their government, they must be appalled to know they have been breaking international law for decades in the West Bank. I presume that is part of these protests that you mention, demanding their government abides by the ICJ and withdraws all of their settlers immediately and pays reparations to Palestinians for the harm caused? How long do you think it will take for Israel to withdraw now that the ICJ have told them too?

No not "care" just operate within the international laws they have signed up to and stop killing children whether it's directly through bombs, guns or indirectly through bombing hospitals, not allowing enough humanitarian aid or medical supplies in. Also Gaza is an occupied territory so Israel do have responsibility towards its citizens.

Polio is not just caused by lack of vaccine but by untreated sewage in the streets caused by not enough fuel brought in for the sewage plants, lack of clean water, bombed buildings and infrastructure, lack of medical facilities, lack of medical staff, lack of access, poor nutrition - all of which Israel has had a direct hand in.

Because they're terrorists. I don't hold them to any standard I don't support them, I continually criticize their actions, they are not funded or supported by any western democratic nation, they have not signed up to any International Humanitarian laws. Israel is supposedly a democratic nation, that is not just a word or an electoral system it has standards and values it is meant to govern by such as equality, justice, human rights and so on, so yes I do expect more from Israel if we don't surely we're just suggesting they are no better than Hamas?

Both governments are responsible for the safety of their own citizens. Israel’s government failed on October 7th to protect its citizens - but it has put a number of measures in place ( the iron dome , shelters etc) to protect its people .
Hamas has wilfully put its people in harms way without providing any protection. Its military leaders live outside of Gaza .

If you think people infantilise Israel and don't hold them to account you have never met jewish person or an Israeli.You've seen the protests in Israel, right? People in my experience often do the opposite of infantilise and hold Israel to far higher standards than any government or nation in the world - other than perhsps the United States, which also is never good enough. Of course I'm up for Israel to be held to an account in a fair, democratic forum.
