As things go, it’s a nonviolent pressure and better than a UN peacekeeping force invading Israel and killing alot of IDF to do it.

But then @Finallyloggedin questions whether Syria is a failed state, when its been fairly regularly discussed over many years that it fits the definition pretty well A state that murders its own citizens, that allows over 600,000 of its citizens to be killed, an ongoing humanitarian crisis and thousands and thousands to leave as refugees, including unaccompanied children. I think that meets the threshold of a state that is failing to meet the economic, social & political needs of its citizens.
