I would say the article contributes considerably to an understanding of why Israelis might have certain attitudes towards Palestinians which people looking in from outside would not, even at the same time as showing the tragic outcome.

Read the article it talks about it is a collective mentality. There's no judgement here just trying to understand it.

Finally got a chance to read this piece, it is a very disturbing read and highlights how important it is for the international community to safeguard Palestinians in this conflict. Their lives and suffering don't matter to the IDF so the international community need to protect them from this revenge and the them or us mentality.

The UK media isn't much better. If it wasn't for social media we wouldn't know half of the things that have happened. It's a disgrace.

If there was not evidence of the unbelievable acts and words of aggressions you simply could not believe anybody nevermind someone in a position of power could behave like that.

If you look at the pattern of his behaviour, in words and actions, they are almost always controversial and contrary to maintaining stability. It is no wonder he is known as the 'minister of chaos'.

I agree with you completely about what Ben Gvir did. He took what was obviously a fragile compromise and turned it into an act to goad Muslims.

Religion aside, you think Ben Gvir doesn't know the impact of his actions on Israel and it's relationship with allies. So much so that he was criticised by the EU and the US today. He is like Trump, a narcissist who loves chaos and the limelight.

It's seems a but unfair that Jewish people are not allowed to pray on their most sacred site (only allowed to pray nearby) but Muslims are. It wasn't even holy to them until thousands of years later. Religions are strange.

Could someone explain how visiting or praying on Temple Mount which has been sacred to Jewish people for thousands of years is awful when Islam, a newer religion calls it their 3rd most important site and it didn't enter the religion until a couple of thousand years later?

Why can't all religions pray or visit as long as peacefully?
