It must have taken quite a while for things to get to the point where shooting someone in the head can be shrugged off, and in the context of ongoing crimes, doesn’t seem like a big event. But if you keep getting away with it, and you don’t have the internal moral capacity to accept right from wrong, then what is the imperative to stop.

Consistently accidentally shooting people in the head is pretty hard. There's only really one reason to aim for and shoot someone in the head.

Hopefully people in Israel will try to get them deplatformed. They should be removed from YouTube and whatever platform hosts the podcast given it is obvious hate speech.

They're too stupid or blinded by vengeance to actually care about how their actions will affect the hostages (or see them as acceptable "collateral damage" to win).

Look at the threats to "shut up or else" that some hostages families are getting.

The head of Israel's Shin Bet security service warned Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in July 2023 that war was imminent, according to a report published on Friday in Yediot Ahronoth.

The report states that Shin Bet chief Ronen Bar held a meeting with Netanyahu on the eve of the vote to forbid judges from invoking the reasonableness clause in cases – one of the key elements in the Netanyahu government's judicial overhaul plan.

Bar told Netanyahu that he couldn't say the exact day and time the war would begin. Bar received Netanyahu's permission to share this intelligence with Opposition Leader Yair Lapid, and subsequently gave him a similar message.

Shin Bet officials didn't deny the report but said they wouldn't comment on discussions with political leaders. The Prime Minister's Office denied there was any warning about war in the Gaza Strip.

"Prime Minister Netanyahu didn't get any warning about war in Gaza – not on the date in question and not a moment before 6:29 A.M. on <a class="break-all" href="https://archive.is/o/bAt61/www.haaretz.com/israel-news/2024-04-18/ty-article-static/.premium/what-happened-on-oct-7/0000018e-c1b7-dc93-adce-eff753020000" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">October 7," the PMO stated.

Lapid said he asked the Shin Bet chief if these warnings were also conveyed to Netanyahu and cabinet ministers, to which the answer was "of course," adding that President Isaac Herzog was also updated on the growing threats.

Lapid also told the commission that the military secretary to the prime minister informed him about a year ago that terror organizations had detected a weakness in Israel because of the <a class="break-all" href="https://archive.is/o/bAt61/www.haaretz.com/ty-tag/judicial-coup-00000187-3262-db91-adcf-3f771b510000" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">judicial overhaulattempts. Lapid asserted that the secretary at the time, Maj. Gen. Avi Gil, told Netanyahu as much at a security update that Lapid attended on August 21, 2023. He added that Netanyahu looked "bored and indifferent" to him.

According to Lapid, Gen. Gil claimed that terrorist organizations perceived "weakness, internal division, tension, and a loss of combat fitness in the army, alongside an ongoing crisis with the Americans." Because of this situation, he participated in several hearings in the Knesset Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee. "I was presented with intelligence at the highest level of classification. Its implications were clear: Israel is at an exceptionally high level of risk," he said.

Lapid told the commission that an increase in threats against Israel was presented to the committee's participants during a meeting in September. "What was stated there was – in my view – unequivocal. Israeli deterrence has dramatically eroded, and our enemies believe they have a rare opportunity to harm us," he said.

He added that he made a media statement following the meeting, in which he stressed the growing danger. "All the heads of the defense establishment, the IDF, Shin Bet security service, police and intelligence agencies are <a class="break-all" href="https://archive.is/o/bAt61/www.haaretz.com/israel-news/2024-05-23/ty-article/.premium/netanyahu-denies-the-idf-warned-him-before-oct-7-of-hamas-intention-to-attack-israel/0000018f-a5b0-d0b4-a3cf-b7bc32b10000" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">warning the government and the [security] cabinet of a violent escalation," he said at the time.

It appears that the Channel is particularly dedicated to the Political right wing in Israel hence calling it Netanyahu's Channel. Must be a bit like people say GBNEWS in the UK is the Reform party Channel.

When the article was published there was a campaign to completely discredit it and then no one knows what to believe.

I remember the writer of the Guardian article tgat Scirroco posted, Prof Devi Sridhar, who is chair of global public health at the University of Edinburgh.

She often spoke as an expert on the television news to explain matters during the covid pandemic, and was evidently regarded as expert and reliable.

The Lancet medical journal recently published an estimate of deaths in Gaza from several respected scientists, who outline their process of estimation (comparison with similar conflicts) and final numbers. They estimate that about 186,000 total deaths could be attributable to the current conflict in Gaza, which is roughly 7.9% of its population, by mid-June 2024. This high number is despite various ceasefire agreements over the past six months. If deaths continue at this rate – about 23,000 a month – there would be an additional 149,500 deaths by the end of the year, some six and half months from the initial mid-June estimate. Using the method, the total deaths since the conflict began would be estimated at about 335,500 in total.

When it comes to Gaza suddenly nobody is listening and everyone turns their back.

Not letting independent observers or assessors in makes it far too easy for Israel to discredit anything negative that comes out of Gaza are call it terrorist propaganda, they definitely have it all sown up and just name call and bully anyone, any organisation or any state that dares disagree or speak ill of them

So their explanation is basically to explain why they feel how they do about Palestinians so we can better understand their hate and their reasons for wanting to wipe them out so somehow think they are fair rational people? I’m going to call bullshit their explanation , they’ve realised they caused a lot of complaints and instead of trying to be empathetic with civilians from both countries they keep suggesting that they need to get rid of Palestinians
