I see the old thread is sadly almost full. I wonder how many of these I will start? 😢

Do you have an example of this from the actual on-line publication? One of the criticisms of The Cradle is that it doesn’t disclose its owner. Your post really seems like an hominem argument- the Pew report findings aren’t credible because the report was referenced in a particular free on line journal that has a columnist you think is antisemitic and you believe that this particular columnist owns the publication. Regardless of what this journalist’s stance is, it doesn’t change the findings of the Pew report .

One of the sections in the poll was about censoring posts showing sympathy for the plight of Palestinians.

Here is an example of a solution one Israeli group has found:

Leftist group exhibits art on Israeli streets to avoid censorship
The art collection depicts war as experienced by kids, including Palestinians — a topic organizers say deserves more empathy among Israeli Jews.

A roaming Israeli art exhibit about children's — including Palestinian kids' — experiences of war seels to avoid censorship.

And if someone linked to some fucking neo nazi website about something that has nothing to do with nazism it would have been fine if the article wasn't about neo nazis and no one is going to read it thinking neo nazis are great. Right? Who cares if someone links to an antisemitic website if the actual article doesn't explicitly say fuck Jews.

Maybe it might be an idea to start a thread about news outlets relating to Israel/Gaza/West Bank/ Hezbollah describing which you think are dangerous and misleading and which are not.

Then posters will have a guide even if they decide not to follow it always. For example I would not dismiss Al Jazeera which you might but I would check what they say against other sites too.

It can work both ways though. Some Israeli/UK/US outlets may be misleading or biased too obviously.

As someone said, nothing justifies Oct 7th, but everything since then is justified by Oct 7th.

Including genocide and ethnic cleansing.

But you know.. Hamas.

The linked post in The Cradle was about the poll, nothing else. That is all anyone here saw. I have just checked again. That’s it - nothing else. No one would have been reading it and contemplating Hamas as freedom fighters as a result.

So would you be OK with someone posting a poll from, say, Breitbart? Just because it's only a poll.

@TimeTravellingTyrion what do you think of the poll?

EasterIssland · 07/09/2024 20:33

Can I please remember that my link was removed because one of the sources that I linked , that the title of this thread is “This is the reality of what Israel is doing (part 4)” and that the link I posted was about a vast majority of Israeli citizens believing that posts about Gaza shouldn’t be allowed ? I’ve the feeling we’re derailing from the actual thread … what Israel does against palestines.

Well for a start there's The Cradle's key columnist and website owner Sharmine Narwani, a virulent antisemite who is paid by, and lobbies for, the Iranian regime. Sharmine loves nothing more than to shout that Israel has 'no right to exist'. She lives and breathes Jew-hatred and has been spewing it online for well over a decade now. HTH.

Except the poster who posted a link to the Cradle also recently posted a link to Iranian state media. Nothing wrong with that apparently.

@TimeTravellingTyrion Can you be more specific about your allegation that The Cradle” is anti-Semitic? Have you quotes , dates? It has clearly been critical of Israeli government actions in Gaza and has published interviews with Palestinian Islamic Jihad. OP posted a link from the Pew Institute and you are indirectly accusing her of anti-semitism

’Israeli Prison Guards Filmed Abusing Detainees; Prison Service Says It's a 'Routine Exercise'

Photos and videos obtained by Haaretz show dozens of detainees lying on their stomachs in handcuffs, some without clothing, while a guard dog barks over them. No unusual incident took place in the prison to prompt the guards' actions

Israeli Prison Service personnel in the security wing of Megiddo Prison handcuffed and humiliated detainees on Friday morning, despite no unusual incident occurring in the prison.

(This the Haaretz brief version. I do not have the full report which includes the video. I cannot yet see this story or video published in other approved news outlets like The Times of Israel, BBC, CNN etc.)

Like Sde Teiman, Megiddo prison is a notorious Guantanamo like prison.

The only one labelling the site as "Pro Terrorist" is you or JonSnow who was also deleted. Just because someone believes it to be so, doesn't mean that a site is antisemitic. Accusations that posters are themselves antisemitic are serious allegations without evidence.
Legally due to the current illegal occupation the Palestinians do have a legal right to "resistance". Some websites therefore do refer to any peoples fighting occupation as resistance, that is not in and of itself antisemitic.

Personally I think anyone who thinks of Hamas, who are an antisemitic terrorist group responsible for the rape murder kidnap and torture of civilians, as "the resistance", is antisemitic and pro Hamas. Maybe I'm just more sensitive to antisemitic buzzwords. But October 7th wasn't resistance and frankly fuck anyone who thinks it was.

Palestinians have a legal right to armed struggle

It’s time for Israel to accept that as an occupied people, Palestinians have a right to resist – in every way possible.

@TimeTravellingTyrion I didn't report your post but it probably has something to do with what @Kindatired mentioned and you indirectly accusing the OP of antisemitism.

Can you please poi t out where I accused OP, I directly or otherwise, of antisemitism? As far as I can remember I've never actually said anything about the OP of this thread, directly or indirectly.

Well for one thing there are the multiple articles calling Hamas the resistance and the hostages prisoners of war. And some stuff about zionist influence, which I know were supposed to pretend is not an antisemitic dogwhistle these days but sorry I still think smells quite iffy.
